DUAL DUAL CREDIT
• Greater likelihood of earning a high school diploma and a college degree, or workforce certificate(s).
• Opportunity to access college facilities and resources such as tutoring services, computer labs and counseling & advising services.
• Enhances skills required to be successful at the collegiate level such as time management skills, critical thinking skills, study skills and following directions and procedures.
Qualifications for Dual Credit & Early Admissions:
1. Must be classified as a high school student or homeschool equivalent.
2. Demonstrate readiness for college coursework via the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Assessment, ACT, SAT, STAAR End of Course Assessment, PSAT, or other approved assessment. Please visit your high school counselor to ensure readiness standards are met. Homeschool students can test for TSI or provide ACT, SAT scores if taken.
3. Complete the online Apply Texas application at http://www.goapplytexas.org
4. Obtain both student and parent signatures for the Dual Credit Contract.
5. Submit an official high school transcript and an official test score report.
