What is CGPA?
The abbreviation of CGPA is (Cumulative Grade Point Average). CGPA gives the average grade point of the student's performance of the students is recorded in forms of Grades.
When did it get introduced in CBSE?
The Central Board of Secondary Education changed the criteria to the CGPA system in 2011, but before that, the CBSE had criteria for rewarding marks (marks system). The CGPA system describes the grades of a student in its academics, However, it has some pros and cons.

The cumulative grade point average method has a launch grade. The attention to different subjects can be given to different subjects as per grades. The students can be categorized into different groups. So, this provides ease for teachers to pay attention to different groups accordingly.
