There were many big-names on the list of ‘would-be’ coaches for New Jersey Devils. That’s why people didn’t pay much heed when a report came out that revealed that Lindy Ruff was a strong candidate for the coach at the fifth position in the queue. No one can blame the public to overlook such revelations when the Devils were looking at Bruce Boudreau, John Stevens, Peter Laviolette, Gerard Gallant, Mike Babcock, and Alain Nasreddine, their current interim head coach for a full-time head coach.
