Sharks are deadly creatures that can pick up the scent of blood from miles. Thought to be the king of the oceans, they must have an enormous appetite and are hard to come by in freshwater bodies for that matter. Scientifically speaking, there are better odds of a meteorite falling the next time you go boating in Lake Michigan or other Great Lakes of America than a shark turning up there.
According to Amber Peters, the assistant professor in the Department of Fisheries & Wildlife at Michigan State University, there could be shark species that could survive the ‘harsh’ waters of the Great Lakes for some time.
