Since its inception in 2011, NOFW has been setting the stage for style along the Gulf Coast by ushering in the Southern region’s premier fashion tastemakers. The weeklong fashion fete establishes a strong awareness of local designers, models and beauty artisans. It has become an important contributor to the New Orleans culture and is celebrated in conjunction with the city’s legendary cuisine, music, art, and film. #NOFW8 is partnering with New Orleans Entrepreneur Week (NOEW) to add a fashion pitch component to the Top Design Competition. This is a natural alliance as fashion designers are creative individuals with a instinctive entrepreneurial spirit. The 10 finalists will have the opportunity to compete their collections on the NOFW runway, as well as further their business goals by taking their concept from the runway to retail.
