JCM Global continually creates technologies to help operators take their guest experience to the next level. The latest is JCM’s new NFC Mobile IO device.

The long definition of NFC Mobile IO is “Near-Field Communication Mobile Input/Output.” The unit is a small form factor networked module that is mounted to the front exterior of an EGM. This enables contactless transactions at any EGM operating with JCM’s iVIZION bill validator, GEN5 printer, and FUZION technology.

When JCM’s NFC Mobile IO is installed, players can interact with the EGM using a secure mobile connection, primarily to enable contactless financial transactions. In addition, the device gives operators multiple options to use it with other applications developed by third-party providers.

For example, any application can interface with NFC Mobile IO through secure APIs. This allows operators to bring enhanced mobile interaction to players while they are on property. Operators can further future-proof their floors by establishing NFC Mobile IO as the mobile transaction portal for current and future casino applications.

With NFC Mobile IO connecting to the player’s mobile device, applications can notify players of available mobile marketing and promotions, expiring player funds, or specific events, greatly enhancing the property’s marketing abilities as well as the player experience.

In addition to player convenience, JCM says its NFC Mobile IO enhances operator security. It allows for location-based services and geolocation validation, so as a user interacts with NFC Mobile IO, operators can verify the identity and location of every transaction (financial, promotional, gaming, etc.), and suspicious activity and money laundering can be tracked back directly to all user accounts.

JCM selected NFC technology for the device because the short-range connection that is inherent in NFC provides enhanced security, seamless communication and zero interference with other devices.
