In 2022, the Macao SAR government awarded The Venetian Casino and The Londoner Casino with the qualification of Responsible Gaming Implementation Model Unit in its Responsible Gambling Indicators program. Furthermore, last February, Sands China donated a total of MOP450,000 (US$55,700) to four local NGOs to aid their responsible gaming efforts. Since 2006, Sands China has donated more than MOP6.25m (US$773,660) in support of RG. In addition, Sands’ Singapore property - Marina Bay Sands, is also dedicated to serving its community. For example, the property raised more than S$4m for the local community last year.

Nagacorp

NagaCorp has contributed to the development of Cambodia’s economy and community for over 20 years. The company’s CSR arm, NagaWorld Kind Hearts, aims to help communities throughout Cambodia. It has conducted more than 590 programs to date focusing on education, community engagement, sports development and the environment. Over the past couple of years NagaWorld Kind Hearts has had a positive impact on the education sector by providing study materials and educational sessions to schools around the country.

MELCO RESORTS & ENTERTAINMENT

Throughout 2022, Melco continued to bring joy to the Macau community through its Simple Acts of Kindness 2.0 volunteering initiative. For example, Melco volunteers devoted 400+ hours to more than 540 local beneficiaries throughout the Christmas period. More recently Melco team members dedicated nearly 600 hours to springtime events benefiting approximately 800 local children, women and elderly people. Other notable achievements from the past 12 months include generating over MOP8m (US$992,540) in additional revenue for 180 Macau SMEs and NGOs via the Heart of House roadshow series.

Wynn Macau

Wynn has been a responsible stakeholder in Macau since it first became part of the community, with its donations and sponsorships benefiting numerous charities and community groups. Through the Wynn Care Foundation, more than 6,400 Wynn Employee Volunteers donated over 24,000 hours of time, which also supported pandemic prevention through helping at testing stations and working closely with the local community. Wynn has also continually supported local SMEs, co-organizing networking events and partnering with local young entrepreneurs. Additionally, Wynn became the only operator in Macau to have all its properties EarthCheck benchmarked.

Fbm Gaming

FBM Gaming, the specialist in electronic bingo machines, works closely with the communities where it is present via its charity arm - the FBM Foundation. FBM has a strong presence in the Philippines and naturally it aims to have a positive social impact there. For example the FBM Foundation kicked off 2023 with the Bayanihan para sa kababayan program, with the goal to assist Filipino communities in disadvantageous situations. The first of many activities from the new program was to distribute essential goods to the over 500 families impacted by a fire incident in Quiapo,Manila at the end of last year.

The Lottery Office

Australia’s The Lottery Office takes CSR seriously and regularly gives to local charities and communities. Each time a player purchases a ticket with the company, a percentage of the ticket sale price goes to The Lottery Office Charity Fund. Since its launch in 2018, The Lottery Office Charity Fund has already made a difference to Australians in need of a helping hand, and the list of charities it supports continues to grow. To date, The Lottery Office has raised over $1 million in charitable funds.

Sjm Holdings

SJM Holdings and its employees are dedicated to supporting education, arts and culture, sports and other charitable events which benefit the residents of Macau. Notable CSR initiatives from the past 12 months include around 8,000 employees and their families taking part in the offline and online Macau Community Chest “Walk for a Million” annual event, to which the company also donated MOP600,000 (US$74,180). The company also awards scholarships, worth MOP10,000 (US$1,200) each, to students every year. In 2022 SJM also demonstrated its commitment to green development and showcased a series of effective measures that it has implemented across its properties, to promote sustainable development of the environment.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club

The Hong Kong Jockey Club has become a major social partner in fostering a caring and inclusive community in Hong Kong. Over the past decade, the Club’s Charities Trust has donated an average of HK$4.5bn (US$573m) a year to the community. In 2021/22, its total donations were HK$6.6bn (US$841m), benefiting 292 charity and community projects. A few notable projects from last year include supporting the HKSAR Government’s Strive and Rise Program which aims to help the development of students from low-income families, distributing gift pack to the underprivileged as part of the “Celebrations for All” campaign, in addition to making a HK$630m (US$80m) donation to said campaign.
