What do you get when you mix Chicago cuisine and Georgia cuisine with a long line of entrepreneurs? You get a food truck experience like no other.
The Stony-Terrace food truck serves Georgia food with a Chicago style! The owners believe they share what they do as a family with the community. With signature sauces and dusts for their chicken wings and Philly marinated Collard green recipes Stoney-Terrace look to stand out in the food truck/ restaurant industry by serving good food and good times.
Ken and Bryan Hall are the owners and operators of this innovative culinary business. Working hard is a family tradition and they wanted to bring personal life experiences to their cooking.
“Let me take a moment to tell you how we differ from other mobile kitchens. We are not a chain. Fresh, hot, inspired foods, with our personal touch is our specialty. We pride ourselves on a menu that reflects our roots.” says, Bryan.
Where did We Start?
Prior to venturing into business, Bryan Harvey & Briana Hall would throw events for friends and family in the comfort of their own homes. Rave reviews accompanied accounts of each moment from attendees fueling the motivation for the two to serve the public. Briana (a Chicago, IL native) and Bryan (from Americus, GA) then made a decision that would do just that with the tools needed to be successful. In September of 2018, they incorporated themselves and began to build what would become Stony Terrace. With approximately 20 years of prior experience within the food industry in commercial locations, the transition was seamless.
So what’s in a name, Stoney-Terrace?. The name derives from their midwest and southern roots. Stoney (Chicago) and Terrace (Americus, GA)
Says Ken: “Basically the name Stoney-Terrace derives from where we come from. Stoney Island, main street, south side of Chicago. Pecan Terrace, Americus GA. It all tells the story of where we are all from. Where our roots are from.”
“We get together as a family, we cook good food and listen to good music.” Says Bryan who is excited to bring this experience to Henry county. Coming from a long line of entrepreneurs both Ken and Bryan look to make an impact in south Georgia as well as create a legacy that their children can benefit from.
Bryan says that after becoming disenchanted with working a 9-5, he was searching for a way to become more financially secure. Ken, equally desiring an opportunity to create a better life for himself and his family, realized that owning a business was the only way to live the American dream and thus the business was born. Beyond setting a path for future generations Ken is also excited about the opportunity to nourish and delight the Henry County area.
The duo prides themselves on great customer service by making sure the food is piping hot, fresh, & delicious. They remain shamelessly involved in as many experiences they can manage. Whether through catering &/or mobility to events, we are specialists in feeding the audience we serve!
They teach their children to work hard. Ken and Bryan both believe that good results come from vision, dedication, planning and hard work, which creates good results. Their children are listening as they are interested in having their own businesses one day. Looking at the success of Stony-Terrace and the experience they’ve gained working the food truck sets them up for success in the future.
Says Ken “Our fathers were entrepreneurs and their fathers before them. You’re building a family legacy in the same breath you’re living your dream with all the tools that God has equipped you with. To see it through is really breathtaking!”
With both food and attitudes this focused and positive it’s only a matter of time before Stony-Terrace takes ALL of Georgia by storm.
