SCOTT ZIEHER: Local Poet, Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, April 16 to Sunday, June 21. Born in Waukesha, Scott Zieher has written and published poetry since the early 1980s. Since then he has also kept sketchbooks and made drawings in abundance. Favoring speedy, gestural images often including figures, abstraction, text and the random, atmospheric touches inherent in working quickly and on the move. Zieher creates a constant sketchbook or work tablet containing subjects and referents to family life as much as his day job as a contemporary art gallery owner in Manhattan’s Chelsea district.

He has studied at The University of Wisconsin, The Art Students League of New York City and in Lucca, Italy through The Pratt Institute of Art where his studio was located in the Cathedral Santa Maria Bianca. He has exhibited in museums, galleries, universities and city centers across North America, Ireland, Italy and Argentina. Daithi has taught art in many surroundings; such as The McColl Center for the Visual Arts in Charlotte, NC, the Save the World Project in Kathmandu, Nepal, Nimbus Arts in Napa Valley, California and most recently as Artist in Residence at The Goodman Community Center in Madison Wisconsin. Local artist Mel Kolstad will be showcasing her works in collage, printmaking, encaustic and embroidery from her 2014-2015 collection. Martin Golias is a gifted self-taught artist who uses painting to deal with the chronic pain he experiences from long term physical illness. PERFORMANCE: On Stage @ THELMA: Robin Hood. THELMA’s first Arts Day Camp. A musicfilled, theatrical adventure for fourth through eighth grade students. Under the artistic direction of David Hein (Fond du Lac’s Children Chorale and Marian University professor) and Illustrator Amy Jarvis (Fond du Lac Visual Artists), the students will audition, rehearse, build sets, and perform Robin Hood in one week.
