T
he Fox Cities has so many great areas to live in and things to do. A constant hub of activity, the Appleton area offers residents a sophisticated urban setting while embracing the history of the beautiful Fox River. While the small city area is easy to navigate, it can be made even easier by using the free trolley to get around for things like the outdoor summer concert series, farmers market and local artist displays. With so many neighboring communities, their is always something to do in the Fox Cities. Appleton North offers all the excitement of living in Appleton, with the perks of being removed from the immediate hustle and bustle of the downtown area. Darboy is a great suburban area to settle down with the family. With retail stores, restaurants and activities nearby, Darboy has everything right at your fingertips without the busyness of downtown. Just wait till summer when the annual Chickenfest takes place at the Darboy Community Park! Nearby, Little Chute embraces its Dutch heritage with an over 100 foot tall full functioning authentic windmill and down the road Kimberly has a heritage that lies deep in the paper mill industry. On the south side of Appleton, Menasha and Neenah run right into each other. In fact, in one section where the two meet, is a shared island, named Doty Island. Between the city and Town of Menasha, there is the Fox Cities Trestle-Friendship Trail. Other local points of interest that residents particularly cherish are the Barlow Planetarium and Weis Earth Science Museum at the UWFox Valley in Menasha, and Neenah’s Bergstrom-Mahler Museum where there is a collection of glass art. The Fox Cities is a great place to buy a home and settle in!

These community thrives on all the seasons. Enjoy an afternoon of relaxing and walking on the shoreline. In the winter go sledding down the hills at Silver Creek Park. During the hot summer months, spend the day at the Aquatic Center where the family can float around on the lazy river. There are so many ways to enjoy the Manitowoc area.
