Everyday more and more people are afflicted with the frustrating effects of neck and back pain. It doesn't matter who you are, what you do or how old you are. Everyone has a different problem – that's why we have different solutions. Come see us, relief is on the way.

M

any men and women have found pain relief from low back or neck conditions such as herniated discs, bulging and degenerative discs and joint disease. These symptoms may be virtually eliminated following this high effective therapy. DTS Spinal Decompression Therapy is a leading non-surgical alternative to more traditional treatments, which often includes drugs and medications, difficult exercises or even risky surgery. How can I add years to my life and Life to my years?

Chirocise

The Benefits

Our new fitness center has been designed with you in mind! Utilizing both chiropractic and exercise will ensure you are on the best path to wellness. Our brand new facility offers a hydraulic resistance system where you will change stations every 40 seconds for your 30 minute circuit workout. Each machine works two major muscle groups in a push-pull manner. The circuit decreases body fat and burns calories while improving cardiovascular efficiency. It is meant to develop muscle endurance and power and also increases muscle strength and tones while increasing flexibility with stretching exercises.

Exercise can help reduce the risk or postpone the development of arthritis, osteoporosis, and heart disease. So, why don’t more people over 50 exercise more regularly? The excuses range from feeling too old, having a specific medical condition, not having enough time and feeling out of place. Being “out of shape” does not mean that you cannot “get in shape.” Wouldn’t you like to improve your health? Below are just a few benefits of making a small commitment with a big payoff.

Sandy Diederichs, our Personal Trainer certified in senior fitness, is going to lead the first of a new series of fitness classes! Seniorcise utilizes a series of chair exercises to promote balance and strengthen your upper body. Classes meet twice a week on Monday and Wednesday from 12:30-1:15 pm. Space is limited.

• Exercise is good for the brain! Exercise benefits regular brain functions and can help keep the brain active, which can prevent memory loss, cognitive decline, and dementia.

SENIORCISE

• Studies show that seniors who exercise sleep better and are in a better mood.

• You’re never too old to exercise! If you’ve never exercised before, or it’s been a while sign up today and let our senior fitness specialist help you get moving!

• Seniors who exercise regularly are generally healthier and get sick less often.

“I am an 86 year old man who had serious back problems. So I had an MRI which showed 2 bad discs and a lot of arthritis in my lower back. I had injections in my spine 2 different occasions but it didn’t help at all. At this time I had to sleep in a swivel rocker for 2 months. Then I heard about DTS. It didn’t take very long and I was sleeping in a bed in any position. I believe it was by the grace of God through Dr. Heimerl's therapy.”

652-0116 “I have a long history of back problems and doctors tried to help me. Over ten years, I had three major surgeries; two caused staph infections and the last surgery caused damage to my sciatic nerve, constant pain and foot drop. I still need a foot brace, cane or walker as a result of that surgery. On top of that I was found to have osteoporosis and then got in touch with an osteoporosis specialist. I got a book of exercises which were easy to do but exercising at home just doesn’t work for me. I find it much better to exercise with other people. I sought help from many doctors and chiropractors through the years. None of them helped much. I decided to give Dr. Heimerl a try. I went regularly and felt improvement. He helped reduce the pain more than anyone else. Last winter, I visited my daughter in Florida for thee months. While there, all of a sudden I got this horrible pain which I knew was different. I came home early and went to Dr. Heimerl. He took x-rays and discovered three compression fractures of my vertebrae. So I needed him more than ever. I returned to Dr. Heimerl for treatments. He recommended that I consider using his new exercise facility. He thought it would be good for me. The exercise machines are hydraulic, therefore, they are very smooth, not jarring or hurtful to my back and joints. We often think if we stay busy in the garden or doing housework that is enough exercise. Dr. Heimerl’s exercise machines work on muscles that we don’t otherwise use. When I questioned if I was making progress, he cheered me on. In addition, I am meeting many nice, friendly women who like to talk and laugh while we are all working hard. I absolutely know that I have gotten stronger. I am 84 years old and am able to stand more erect than I have for a long time. Most importantly, I can go longer without pain. I would tell anyone if you’re thinking about joining an exercise program, this place has it all; a supportive staff, effective and safe machines and a clean and cheery environment. Who could ask for more?”
