The Knaak + Juarez Studio is a 1900 sq. ft. warehouse space and is a new addition to the art scene in Sheboygan. Dale Knaak and Frank Juarez specialize in traditional, experimental, and abstract painting, respectively. Bookworm Gardens
Bookworm Gardens is a whimsical, wonderful spot where nature, literature and the imagination come to life. Located adjacent to UW-Sheboygan, this 2.5 acre garden brings books to life in a beautiful garden setting. Organized into six gateways, books have been selected to appeal to the young and young at heart. The garden includes classics such as “Peter Rabbit” and “Charlotte’s Web,” as well as new literature hot off the press. The books are laminated

and stored in stone pillars at the entrance to each gateway offering families the opportunity to read the books while interacting in each garden area. The garden is anchored by the Hansel and Gretel Learning Cottage, a quirky building housing two classrooms, an office, restrooms and a small retail area. Plymouth Historical Society Museum
Located in the heart of Plymouth’s downtown, the William Sebald building was constructed in 1876 of cream city brick. In its early beginnings Sebald sold root beer and ale on the first floor while raising his family on the second floor. Over the years the storefront saw many businesses including a meat market, newspaper, foot doctor and barber shop. Today the building is home to a handicapped accessible museum, displaying artifacts including an extensive collection of Indian arrowheads, local cheese industry, Hattie Grogan paintings, and World War I and II exhibits of local interest. The newest, Plank Road Trail, allows visitors to walk oak planks with a panoramic view of Plymouth 1869. Three store fronts offer a look at early life as well as a Kitchen Exhibit

Wreck of the Lottie Cooper
Built in 1876, the Lottie Cooper is a schooner that capsized and sunk in gale-force winds in 1894 just off the Sheboygan Harbor. Boat Launch Ramps
The City of Sheboygan maintains boat launch ramps at three locations: off 14th Street Bridge, in the 1300 block of Niagara Avenue; in Deland Park, on the lakefront. Fish cleaning station and public restrooms are nearby; and off Eighth Street, just north of the Eighth Street Bridge. At South Pier, there is a fish cleaning station and public restrooms. Annual permits are available at The Wharf, the Harbor Centre Marina and at the Department of Public Works (2026 New Jersey Ave., Sheboygan). Envelopes are provided above the fee box at each boat ramp. Camp Y-Koda
Camp Y-Koda is an 80-acre summer camp and year-round outdoor education and retreat center located just west of Sheboygan Falls on the Sheboygan River. Camp provides summer camp options for ages 4-17; outdoor educational opportunities to school groups pre-k through high school; a conference center and lodges for youth retreats, weddings, family reunions, business outings and more. Cross-Country Ski Trails

Harbor Centre Marina
The marina, owned by the City of Sheboygan, and operated by Skipper Bud’s, features 281 slips for permanent, seasonal and transient boaters. Winter storage facilities, boat haul out and launch services also available. Also has docks for mega yachts. Harbor Pointe Miniature Golf

Ice Age Trail
Around15,000 years ago during the Ice Age, much of North America lay under a huge glacier. Mammoths, saber tooth cats and cave lions roamed the earth. Some of the best evidence of this glacier is found in Wisconsin such as the state’s many lakes, river valleys, gently rolling hills, and ridges. Inland Fishing
There are 72 lakes, rivers and ponds in Sheboygan County. Besides Lake Michigan, the deepest is Elkhart Lake at 127 feet. There are plenty of boat launches and charter fishing boats.
Lakefront Trail
Paved, all-purpose one-mile trail from the Harbor Centre Marina to the North Point overlook. Broughton Drive, Sheboygan. Always open; 920-457-9495.
Old Plank Road Trail
This popular, 17-mile, American Planning Association award-winning trail accommodates bicyclists, runners, walkers, in-line skaters, horseback riders, moped users, Nordic skiers, and snowmobilers on 10 feet of asphalt and 8 feet of turf. The trail parallels state Highway 23 from Sheboygan, past the Village of Kohler, Sheboygan Falls, Plymouth, and onto historic Greenbush, linking with the Ice Age Trail in the Kettle Moraine State Forest. Road America’s Go-Kart Racing
Karting is one of the world’s most popular forms of motorsports and happens weekly on Road America’s Briggs & Stratton Motorplex. Kart racing isn’t just for kids anymore, classes are available for adults too. The Road America Kart Club(RAKC) offers two championship racing series, the Saturday series and the Tuesday evening series. The Saturday series runs both 2 and 4 cycle engines on select weekends, while the Tuesday evening series runs 4-cycle engines and Kid Karts. Drivers compete in different classes according to age and engine choices (Kid Karts age 5 to 7, Sports Class 8 to 12, Junior Class 12 to 15, Senior Class 15 and up). Seventh Element Skateboard Park
This outdoor skateboard park in Plymouth has something for everyone, regardless of age or skill level, including quarter pipe hips, launch ramps, bank ramp hips, jump boxes, wedges (flat and stair), grind rails, a roll in, a spine and a grind ledge. Provides a west-east link between the Old Plank Road Trail and Sheboygan’s Harbor Centre and lakefront. It traverses parks and green spaces, winds through historic residential and commercial districts, and provides access to Sheboygan’s Central Business District, as well as numerous scenic, historical, cultural and recreational sites. Designated as a bicycle trail, it is also suitable for walkers and in-line skaters. The 4.25 mile long trail extends from the west side of Sheboygan, beginning at the eastern trailhead of the popular multi-use Old Plan Road Trail, to Lake Michigan. The bikeway follows clearly marked routes, which incorporate bike paths, common usage trails, bike lanes and wide curb lanes.

Hmong and American Veterans Memorial
The circular monument at Deland Park, 44 feet in diameter, includes the story of the thousands of Hmong and Lao soldiers who died in the Vietnam War’s Laotian front, known as the Secret War. Names of those who died in the war are inscribed in granite. Memorial is adorned with mosaic tiles created by local students.

SHEBOYGAN Deland Park
715 Broughton Drive Centrally located on the shores of Lake Michigan, Deland Park is in the heart of the Harbor Centre district. Enjoy sandy beaches, ample green space and several play areas for children in addition to boat ramps, a fish cleaning station, pavilions and the Lakefront Trail. Home to several summer festivals and the Lao, Hmong, American Veterans War Memorial.
Evergreen Park
3000 Calumet Drive Evergreen Park gets its distinct character from the many acres of white pine trees towering over 100 feet tall. The tree canopy and cool shade make this a perfect location for a picnic. Excellent trails for biking and cross-country skiing. Shelters and restrooms available.
General King Park
1601 S. Seventh St. More than a mile of groomed beach along the spectacular blue waters of Lake Michigan with a view of the lighthouse and South Pier. Childrens playground, pavilion and restrooms available.
Fountain Park
100 Block of North Eighth Street Downtown park contains mineral fountains that attracted people more than 100 years. Also contains a band shell, which houses concerts on Wednesday and Friday evenings throughout the summer, and a Civil War memorial; 920-459-3444.
Indian Mound Park
Panther Avenue and South Ninth Street The Open Mound Exhibit contains artifacts and replica skeletal material and 18 animal and geometric effigy burial grounds. 3615 Mueller Road, Sheboygan Located on Sheboygan’s northwest side, the Ellwood H. May (Maywood) Environmental Park was gifted to the city in 1974 and is now home to a 135-acre public park and offers natural history, environmental programs and activities; community events; recreational outings; summer camps; field trips; self-guided walks; cross-country skiing and hiking trails; wildlife viewing; and a meeting place for environmental groups. South 18th Street, North of Weeden Creek Road The only public, fully-fenced dog park in Sheboygan County features 10-acres for exercising, training and socializing dogs in a safe park-like setting. Third St. Located on the city’s northeast side on the shores of Lake Michigan; features 1930s natural amphitheater, 18-hole disc-golf course, picnic and play areas, tennis and sledding. Water Street Located along the Sheboygan River, the park includes a playground, water features for kids, and urban bicycle trail.

Collins Street This 2.4-acre park overlooks the Mullet River and has bench seating adjacent to the recreational trail, as well as a footbridge over the river to the downtown area.
Highland Avenue and Valley Road This 6.7-acre park includes Ozzie Pick Field and Bill August Field (lighted youth baseball field with covered stands, concession stand and bathrooms), a soccer field and parking lot. Between Western Avenue and Sunset Drive A lighted baseball diamond with fencing, concession stand, bleachers and restrooms.

On Valley Road next to Lion›s Park This 8.5-acre park includes a large shelter (kitchenette and serving area), backstop, picnic areas, parking lot and trail system through a wooded area and more.
H.M. Meyer’s Nature Park
At the end of Daleview Drive A nature preserve, this park is used for fishing, hiking and enjoying the natural beauty, Mullet River and Meyer’s Pond, but also includes playground equipment, hiking trails and a fly disk golf course and a parking lot.
Nutt Ski Hill
Adjacent to Roosevelt-Nutt Park at the end of West Main Street Seven-acre site includes two ski hill runs, electric rope tow, snow making equipment, shelter with indoor kitchen and enclosed deck, handicapped-accessible restrooms, and a parking lot.

Sheboygan County Marsh Park Observation Tower
Intersection of Highways J and P, just northwest of town, Elkhart Lake The 80-foot tower is the newest and tallest wooden observation tower in the state of Wisconsin. It offers panoramic views of the Sheboygan Marsh and surrounding areas. It features great views from each of its four platforms. Those unable to walk up the 144 steps to the top platform can still enjoy the same view by using the remote control camera in the Three Guys and a Grill restaurant, which is just across the dam. The John Michael Kohler Arts Center marks the 40th anniversary of its world-renowned Arts/ Industry residency program with a sweeping, first-ever retrospective exhibition of works created by artists-in-residence in the Kohler Co. factory.
