Our clubhouse has a full bar and grill which features a Friday Fish Fry. We have a PGA Professional on staff as well as fully stocked pro shop. What sets you, your business or service apart from other businesses or individuals who do what you do? We try out best to cater to all golfers regardless of their skill level. Though we are a seasonal business, we pride ourselves on our friendly and professional staff. We continue to reinvest money on an annual basis into the golf course as well as the clubhouse. What is something that your customers do not know about your business? Much like the Green Bay Packers, we are owned by our members but in a non-equity fashion. Each year the membership votes on who will serve on our board of directors which is comprised of 7 people. It is this group of “volunteers” that help continue our tradition. What is your proudest accomplishment? When the golf course was built in 1970, the founders had a vision of providing an exceptional recreational facility to the Mosinee community and beyond. We are proud of how far the golf course has become and are reminded by everyone of how much they enjoy the facility.

Wausau Events is unique in that we are a non-profit working to help enhance the quality of life in the greater Wausau area by providing opportunities for people to enjoy the amenities of Wausau such as the 400 Block, Wausau Airport or Fern Island. What is something that your customers do not know about your business? Wausau Events is its own entity. We work alongside the City of Wausau but we are our own organization. We have our own office, staff and budget. What is your proudest accomplishment? Balloon & Rib Fest provides a great atmosphere in which all ages enjoy the sights, sounds, smells and activities of the festival. That event has gotten bigger and better each year and we know it can continue to do so. That is our proudest accomplishment.
