PROCESS

HYDROMAX® is a water-repellent process for leather that ensures feet stay dry, while shoes remain soft and supple over time. During retanning, a combination of paraffin and silicone bases are added into the leather which creates water-repellent leathers. This special tanning and retanning process keeps the leather from hardening after repeated wetting and drying during everyday use.

To keep feet dry in all normal weather conditions, to free you to run, train, walk, play golf or simply explore all year round.

DESCRIPTION

HYDROMAX® is an exclusive, water-repellent leather. It is strong and durable, yet soft and breathable. This technical leather is one of the finest water-repellent leathers in existence, and has a very fine appearance.

HYDROMAX® remains water-repellent for a long period of time.

Ideally, the leather should be treated with the appropriate ECCO shoe care products after every wetting in order to retain its water-repellent features.

YAK LEATHER FACT SHEET The yak is a remarkable animal that lives in alpine rangeland of the Tibetan Plateau, an area where few other animals can survive. Amazingly, it thrives in the harsh conditions of the wild and mountainous landscape. In essence, yak hide is a multi seasonal leather consisting of a thin, compact woven collagen fibre and closed fine grain. These unique characteristics protect the yak in the warm summers and cold winters.

CHARACTERISTICS Due to the nature of the skin, yak has a very unique and individual look that differs from hide to hide, which is hard to find in other leathers.

The aged and natural look of this leather is emphasised by the strong markings and natural characteristics in the hide. An effect which is highly visible, especially on oiled nubuck.

BENEFITS Yak hide creates extremely strong leather and offers an excellent abrasion resistance. The strength of the leather is due to the thin, compact woven collagen fibre and closed fine grain, which makes it possible for us to cut the hides into thin leathers and thereby reduce the weight.

The light weight, high breathability and ex-treme durability, makes it the ideal choice for high-performance activities.
