The kids are back in school, summer plans are ending, and it’s not time to put up that Christmas tree just yet. September is the perfect time to reset your fitness routine, set new goals, and reclaim your motivation. Strata Fit is here to help!

MOVE FOR A CAUSE

In honor of September 11, 2001, and in continued appreciation of our first responders and military members, Strata Fit invites you to participate in the 9/11 Remembrance Workout – recreating the 110 flights of stairs climbed (or the cardio equivalent distance) by the New York Fire Department teams during the World Trade Center tragedies.

The Strata Fit 9/11 Remembrance Workout includes an option of:

2071 steps on the stair climber 2.17 miles on elliptical, treadmill, or bike 3,500 meters on the rower

REGISTER TO WIN A STRATA IMMUNITY PACK

Beginning on September 1st through Friday, September 30th, every time you complete any one of the above challenges, your name will be entered into a drawing for an exclusive Strata Immunity Pack.

Please inform a member of the Strata Fit team of your workout completion and the team will document your achievement. Complete the workout multiple times for additional entries in the drawing. The winner will be announced Monday, October 3rd .

NEW GROUP EX CLASS FOR 65+ Golden Tennies – The View at Kissing Camels – Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m.

Golden Tennies- (a twist on ‘Silver Sneakers’) is for people 65 & over; and will include movements and exercises to help improve balance, gain strength by increasing lean body tissue (muscle), and remind you that “motion is lotion.”

The goal? To help you stay strong in body, mind, and spirit. Regular physical activity keeps your heart, brain, bones, muscles, and joints healthy.

If you have chronic conditions such as arthritis, diabetes, or osteoporosis, safe exercise can help you feel better. Plus, staying social is vital to good health.

HEALTHY SPINE CLINIC The View at Kissing Camels Wednesday, September 28th, 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. $35 Per Person

Join Strata Fit trainer, Ty Arcilia, and learn about the role the spine plays throughout your daily activities and what the spine should actually be doing on a daily basis. You will be introduced to the concept of a neutral spine and what it takes to achieve that goal with demonstrations of various drills and exercises to help maintain a healthy spine. Proper biomechanics is key to sustaining a healthy spine and helps with awareness of the principles of lever ratio which is an important step in learning how to practice those proper mechanics and keep a spine healthy from one's head to the low back.
