WELCOME TO THE GARDEN
Presented by Mary Tobin and The Garden
ARJ BARKER
Presented by Strut & Fret and The Garden
He’s back! Arj Barker returns to the fringe, armed with some new classics and some classic classics, to present one funny hour. If you don't laugh your ass off, there's something wrong with you! (In other words, don't ask for your money back.)
Direct from the Sydney Opera House and a sell-out season at the Edinburgh Fringe, the Tom Tom Club explodes into action! Australia’s freshest leading acrobats join forces with a trio of beat-boxing, drum stick wielding and record scratching musical prodigies, in this force-fueled production.
He will certainly sell out, so come see him while he still has integrity! Barker who won the coveted Perrier Best Newcomer Award in 1997 has firmly established himself as one of the golden boys on the international comedy circuit. Arj has just finished filming an HBO series with Flight of the Concords.
Shaking the walls of the Umbrella Revolution; Ben Walsh, DJ Dizz1 and world champion beat-boxer, Tom Thum, combine their breaks, bleeps and pulsating rhythms. Tom Flanagan, Ben Lewis, Daniel Catlow and Shane Witt – graduates of the Flying Fruit Fly Circus - flip, fly and slam up the stage as hard and fast as the boys with beats.
This is world-class comedy. www.arjbarker.com

JIMEOIN e c I n O
Australia's very own International Drag Queens are hopelessly devoted to Sandy and Danny in the most awe-inspiring show you'll ever see. Don't miss the ultimate beauty-school-dropouts as they bring Rydell High to life in a musical parody with more glitter and gaudy costume changes than a Kylie concert.
From The Magical World of Jimeoin comes a new smash hit show. See Jimeoin gracefully skate through brilliantly funny observations on the absurdities of everyday life. With previous sell out seasons in Montreal, Edinburgh and London, you would not want to miss out... Get your skates on.
'Massively enjoyable...a camp romp of epic proportions... a resounding success that sees the packed room whooping, clapping and singing their hearts out.' Metro (UK) 'I defy anyone not to enjoy it. The hottest ticket of the Fringe.' One4Review (UK)
“As sharp as they come, laser-accurate with his observational comedy... Each punchline is beautifully underlined with a subtly arched eyebrow. In an age of warped wit, he is disconcertingly inoffensive.”

Professor Squealy Deetbum (Linsey Pollak) is the world's leading researcher in Cycology - the art of playing the bicycle. In this brilliant solo show, the bicycle seat, handlebar, gear cable, bicycle pump, wheels and frame are all turned into musical instruments. Ali McGregor hosts this unique showcase featuring a selection of The Garden of Unearthly Delight’s best cabaret, music and comedy performers. Comedic, beauteous and grotesque, The Town Bikes invite you to partake in an hour of Flesh for Fantasy. Behold their dazzling array of vivid costumes, lush soundscapes and zealous choreography. A hyperbole world of plastic meats, brazen balletics and gamboling game-show garnishes awaits.

“Baffling ballerinas Carla Yamine and Gabi Barton truly dance well. Unlike lesser burlesques, the Bikes truly perform their gender. If you admire those that employ their performance powers for twisted theatrical evil instead of a standardised good, then take a ride with the Town Bikes.”

Jon Cleary is a triple threat with a salty-sweet voice, masterful piano skills, and a knack for coupling infectious grooves with melodic hooks and sharp lyrics. He balances a career performing with his band The Absolute Monster Gentlemen and Bonnie Raitt, recording with both groups, and composing songs for various artists. His live shows are an explosive funk party mixing old school soul with the rhythms of New Orleans.

STARKERS is a series of comedy monologues written by award winning Perth writers Kate Mulvany, Luke Milton and Damon Lockwood and performed by comedian Andrea Gibbs.
H
Raw Comedy National Finalist (2005) and Comedy Zone comedian (Melbourne Comedy Festival 2006), Andrea contradicts the age old misnomer 'girls aren't funny' and shows us in STARKERS that baring one's soul is a thrill sometimes too hard to contain!
Acclaimed singer / songwriter Mark Seymour has followed up his successful 18 years with Hunters & Collectors with a vibrant solo recording career. He continues to draw live audiences with his intense passionate vocals delivered with a measure of wry humour. Mark’s acclaimed fourth solo release ‘Westgate’ was released in 2007. In early March Mark will release a novel based on his observations and experiences in the music business, titled ‘Thirteen Tonne Theory ‘. Mark Seymour’s music and lyrics have formed an indelible part of Australia’s musical landscape.

With a raw sound that throws back to the golden era of hip-hop, the Cool Kids manage to capture the swagger of the late 80s but with a completely fresh outlook. Rhyming precisely over sparse, bass-heavy beats it’s almost as if EPMD and N.E.R.D got together. Team this with a killer live show and the Cool Kids are set to take over.
