Highlights include some of the band’s finest arrangements to date; a gorgeous do-wop rendition of 80’s classic Electric Dreams, a sublime mash-up pairing The Joker with Whitesnake’s Here I Go Again and an all-vocal big band swing version of Deep Purple’s Smoke on the Water. Virtuosi beatboxer Andy Frost takes centre-stage for a showstopping mouth drumming solo during Paolo Nutini’s Pencil Full of Lead, while the band showcase their song-writing talents with a selection of award-winning original numbers. As seen in Australia on Spicks and Specks, The Morning Show and Today Tonight, these stars of the international festival scene are suitable for all ages and not to be missed.

Using bits of rubbish and household items, puppeteer Jeff Achtem creates a shadow puppet universe full of odd characters and lo-fi DIY effects. Following sell-out shows in Berlin, London & Edinburgh, Swamp Juice returns to Adelaide with a live band playing a new original score to the live cartoon action on screen. As each shadow character comes to life, the audience can witness how improbable objects transform into characters. In the gripping final moments, the puppetry leaps off the screen and into eye-popping 3D shadow puppetry! A totally unforgettable theatrical experience, for all ages. Naked Girls Reading is a group of beautiful ladies who love to read… naked. That’s really it. There’s not a whole lot more to it. Should there be? Once you experience it, you’ll stop asking so many questions and just let the concept take you. NATH VALVO
A STORM IN A D CUP
Nath moved back in with his parents this year, he still eats fruit loops for dinner and has just started growing chest hair.
When a girl’s been blessed with a gay father and a transgender step-mother, can add ‘exotic dancer’ to her resume and caused the spectacular demise of 5 automobiles, what’s left but to get it all off her chest in an hysterically candid cabaret?
ALMOST 30
He is almost 30. This show chronicles the results of 30 years of birthday parties gone wrong, in a show that critics have advised punters not to miss. Nath offends the masses regularly on Nova FM and has been labelled ‘a rising star in comedy’ by a fancy newspaper.

SEX WITH ANIMALS
SIMON TAYLOR
[USA]
FUNNY
The Edinburgh Fringe 2013 sell-out expedition through the often hilarious, occasionally profound sexual habits of the animal kingdom. Ryan Good (Neo-Futurist, NYIT award winner) as Ryan the Bisexual Lion explores the far reaches of the animal world and the depths of his own sexuality to show we are all perverted, loving, confused creatures who make ridiculous faces when we orgasm.
Melbourne comedian turned Hollywood writer, Simon Taylor delivers a brand new stand up comedy hour. No frills. No gimmicks. Back from touring in eleven states in the US and shows in Southeast Asia, Simon is one to catch before he heads off again to be funny all over the globe.

Is The Garden free to enter? Yes. However, at busy times in the interests of public safety or to comply with the liquor licensing rules, we may restrict or slow entry to the site and there may be a queue. Rest assured The Garden always manages numbers to ensure ticketholders can get access to the site – just head to the priority entry queue for ticket holders (adjacent to the Box Office). Is The Garden for all ages? Yes! The Garden prides itself on being a very inclusive space that caters for all ages. However, The Garden believes, as do our good friends at liquor licensing, that some times are more suited to those 18 years and older. Minors are allowed to enter The Garden until midnight and permitted to remain in The Garden after midnight if they are seeing a show that starts prior to midnight and finishes by 1am. No minors, accompanied or otherwise, can enter The Garden after midnight. How do I get to The Garden? Leave the car at home and take public transport or ride your bike where possible, there is limited parking near the site. To find out more about public transport visit www.adelaidemetro.com.au Bike | There is a dedicated bike parking area at the main entrance to The Garden. Buses | The Adelaide FREE 99C City Loop stops near The Garden, on East Terrace. Stops B1, Y1 and Y2 on East Terrace and l1, I2 and I3 on North Tce are all located in close proximity to The Garden. A number of services to various Adelaide suburbs operate from these stops. Train | The Garden is less than 20 minutes walk from Adelaide Railway Station. Taxi | During The Garden a taxi rank runs adjacent to the site on East Terrace. Times vary.

AUSLAN INTERPRETED EVENTS
The Garden is excited to announce that our 2014 season will include a number of Auslan interpreted events including our Opening Night celebrations and a performance of The Last Temptation of Randy and Swamp Juice. The Last Temptation – THU 20th FEB at 8.15pm (more details pg. 51) Swamp Juice – SUN 23rd FEB at 2.30pm and WED 5th MAR at 7pm (more details pg. 47) PHYSICAL ACCESS
While The Garden is constantly working on ways to improve the site and its access, the parkland itself offers some challenges. In places the pathways are steep and consistently so. A number of venues in The Garden are antique wooden theatres, which cannot be modified. Where possible, paths and ramps have been installed to improve access to the site and its venues. The Idolize, Cupola, Campanile, Umbrella Revolution, Le Cascadeur, Paradiso Spiegeltent, Vagabond and Little Big Top are all wheelchair accessible. The Spare Room is not wheelchair accessible. The Garden includes accessible toilets. The Garden is located adjacent to designated accessible parking bays. Please visit www.adelaidecitycouncil.com/services/ parking-and-regulations.html or call 08 8203 7203 for any further information.
THE GARDEN AND ITS PROGRAM OF PERFORMANCES ARE PART OF THE 2014 ADELAIDE FRINGE.
