GTARDEN RIPOD ART Contributors Catalogue
Editor’s Review
Hi Folks, We have a little Contributors Catalogue for this impromptu issue. If you missed our last message I have posted below The Tripod is going through changes .. • The first of these changes is that we have lost our sponsor for the web page, after several hours of intense negotiations our web page finance has come to an end, this was not the outcome we had hoped for, but things happen for reasons. • The second of these changes is we are having to scale back the number of issues we have a year .. From twelve a year, down to one, this will be in the form of a year catalogue. The catalogue will be available to view online free and hard copies will be available to purchase. The hard copies will be sold with no profit set so the price you pay is the POD printers costs. (we felt that one good size issue a year was better than a very thin twelve issues) This is a direct result again of loosing our sponsor and web page. • The third of these changes is we are looking to redesign the Garden Tripod to hopefully attract a new sponsor so that we can move forward, when this happens the Garden Tripod will return to its full potential as a monthly publication.
So watch this space .. and we will keep you updated as things happen. As always .. we are keeping the text real, so spelling mistakes and grammatical errors are all here for free.

27 The Queen of Flowers We walked, holding hands, in a garden of riotous color under a sun that showered everything in gold, stopping often to admire flowers that glowed like High Renaissance paintings. In the surety of the alignment of our hearts I glowed too; I could feel my petals shining. We made our way slowly through the rows and ended up in a corner where a solitary rosebush grew. Unlike the profusion of beauty blossoming elsewhere, only one sorry rose bloomed on that bush – an awkward, graceless offering, an Aschenputtel in the drawing room. “Look,” you said, pointing at it. “It’s you.” I stopped glowing, my petals curling inward in a wave of hurt and shame. Summoning every bit of steel in my spine I laughed up into your smiling face as my heart struggled to expel the arrows you’d so carelessly volleyed there. We left for dinner soon after. The next time you called I was unavailable. The time after that I ended it. You, hurt and puzzled, never got an explanation. But now, looking back, although you put it stupidly, clumsily, I find myself agreeing with you. I am the dark horse in a field of glittering champions, an unremarkable rose in a glorious garden of bedding flowers – but still, a rose. © 2016 RC deWinter ~ All Rights Reserved

29 Hourglass I have gone, gone afar away On the forehead memories Blindness shine below eyelids Misguided years and the cities Somewhere beginning of alley Let I feelings and faces Departed now last train The love in sober eyelash shade In the time when I am talking about Chestnut blossoms. Moist and damp is early fall dawn But steps of the winds never dissipate I do not leave here but on the top crest Between the browses
