Acknowledgments PHOTOcentric 2015 is the 7th year of Garrison Art Center’s annual international photography exhibition. This year marks the beginning of PHOTOcentric as a biennial event with the next exhibition in the late fall of 2017. The Art Center is grateful to this year’s juror, Julie Saul, for her time and expertise. Her selections represent an exciting array of viewpoints and techniques. It is because of the generosity and diverse photographic experience of our jurors that PHOTOcentric continues to grow as a carefullyconsidered representation of the ever-changing field of photography. In addition, the valuable commitment during these seven years of PHOTOcentric founder and photographer Cali Gorevic is, as always, deeply appreciated. The submissions offered this year for consideration continue to show the exceptional exploration and diverse visions of photographers. The field of photography is becoming increasingly digital, wherein artists find nearly limitless ways to offer their insights and observations of the world that surrounds them. With technology advancing seemingly at the speed of light, photographers have become pioneers with access to explore previously unknown worlds of visual expression. The Art Center is deeply grateful to these — and all — artists who offer their personal perspective for all the world to see, enjoy, and yes, scrutinize. It takes a special kind of courage to expose one’s own skill, talent and creativity in this vulnerable way. Working on behalf of artists and promoting their visions has been vital to the mission of Garrison Art Center since its founding in 1964. We are fortunate indeed to have human beings in our midst who are intent upon presenting for all to see their creative interpretations of the world around them and inside them. We are also fortunate to exist within a community that appreciates the critical role that art plays within a culture that advances only when varying points of view are welcomed and considered with civil discourse. Thank you, Artists, for your gifts, and thank you, Patrons, for your open-eyed support.

Carinda Swann, Executive Director Garrison Art Center
