TIME FLIES... They say time flies when you're having fun. If that's true, then 2010 must have been a blast! It really doesn't seem possible that the year is gone; but, here we are. It was a great year at Garth's. Sales are strong and we're healthy and having fun. Doesn't get much better than that.

As we plan ahead, our goal has always been to target projects and priorities that help us achieve more than one resolution at a time. Well, with a bit of careful planning, a little luck and a lot of followthrough, we have some great projects and partnerships to share in the first quarter:

But the start of a new year isn't just about looking back. It's a time to look ahead; fueled by renewed enthusiasm and dedication, ready to tackle big goals and resolutions. In fact, our resolutions don't change much each year:

The opening of “Equal in Goodness: Ohio Decorative Arts 1788 – 1860,” an exhibition at the Ohio Decorative Arts Center, guest curated by Garth's own Andy Richmond and proudly sponsored by Garth's

take time to make great memories with friends and family

A book signing and lecture by Robert Wittman, renowned author of “Priceless: How I Went Undercover to Rescue the World's Stolen Treasures”

have great auctions do what's right, not what's easy; and model great citizenship and parenting for our children

The unveiling of “beGifted by Garth's,” a new Facebook application that allows users to give and receive virtual gifts of antiques and fine art (fresh from Beta testing in December)

have great auctions be joyful and enjoy what we do – share the joy with others have great...(ok, you get the drift!)

Of course, three great auctions – January, February & March We could probably spend more time nose down, head in a computer; likely our offices could use a bit of straightening and the treadmill would not be such a bad idea. But, we'd rather spend our time investing in ways to bring fun back into the business – ours and yours. We hope you'll join us as we check these projects off our list and tackle many more in the next year. If 2011 goes as planned, we'll see you next January in the blink of an eye! Best wishes, Amelia & Jeff
