Safe, stable, light, fast, fuel-efficient and easy to transport with multichambered tubes acting as a shock absorbers. Mercury Professional RIBS are manufactured with a highly industrialized process to help ensure a constant and uniform quality. Through design, planning and development with the most advanced techniques of CAD/CAM production of the craft is automated and robotized in the main production stages. Advanced environmental controls for the manufacturing of GRP eliminates vapors and by-product. THERMOWELDING速 Combining fusion with calendering at high pressures, the different parts of the tubes are assembled with a system of double internal/external tapes providing welds stronger than the material itself ensuring greater strength for the tube-set seams than that of hand glueing. VITECH 速 Derived from technology developed in the aeronautical industry, the lamination process of the hulls combines advanced techniques of injection which achieve an excellent strength/weight ratio when manufacturing fiberglass composites. Professional strength material AKRON TPE 速 is highly resistant to abrasion and was developed for use in professional, army, and rescue craft, being accepted for this purpose by the most prestigious organization of rescue and safety at sea, such as the US COAST GUARD and the British RNLI. It also complies with the MIL B-53067 Regulations of the US Department of Defense and has the RINA CCE 36599/1 certification for use in the manufacture of rescue craft. The material has extremely high resistance to abrasion, five times greater than that of Neoprene/ Hypalon, together with a very high resistance to pollution, to the action of UV rays and to impact in accordance to the puncture test FD standard NO-101B (method 2031). ISO 9001:2000 Certification In 2001 the Quality Management System of Mercury Professional RIBs has been certified ISO 9001:2000 which applies to: Design, manufacture and repair management for semi-rigid inflatable boats.

The “Dive & Rescue” series is designed with maximum versatility in mind for the demands of diving, rescue and many other professional disciplines. The DR series is easy to trailer, launch and recover with minimal effort. Mercury Professional RIBs are manufactured with AKRON TPE® material which has been proven very resistant to UV and abrasion. These robust craft come standard with extra strong accessories; double rubbing strake fender, inside and outside lifelines with stainless steel D-rings, reinforcements with non-slip finish on top of the tubes, heavy duty inflation valves and pressure relief valves. This standard equipment list is unmatched in the industry. The deck has a nonskid finish directly integrated into the lamination process. The hull in this series has a solid one piece foam core for added safety and superior floatation capability. The DR 400, 450 and 490 have been carefully developed to ensure an excellent balance of seaworthy performance, speed, comfort and low fuel consumption due to their quick planing capabilities.

Keeping the same multi-use characteristics as the previous series, these boats are solidly constructed and are easy to trailer and launch. With their standard features list the boats stand alone in the Professional RIB market. The designs provide fast planing capabilities as well as stability and security when confronted with strong sea conditions. With the DR 520 having a 20 gallon integrated fuel tank and the DR 570 a 28 gallon integrated fuel tank, the range of these boats are drastically increased while providing a larger useful deck surface free from portable fuel tanks. The large bow locker works well for storing equipment, anchors and lines. At the stern of the DR 520 and DR 570 you will find an inspection hatch with direct access to the bilge and electric bilge pump. This series can be equipped with a steering console and seating for comfortable piloting in a standing or seated position.

The “Dive & Rescue” 620 and 750 are fast, strong, spacious and very stable. The material and manufacturing details are the same as the boats described in the previous series. This series is widely accepted by diving clubs, underwater activity clubs and the most demanding professional users. The DR-620 and DR-750 include a 28 and 80 gallon fuel tanks respectively, located under the decks in a watertight compartment perfectly adapted to the “V” shape of the hulls. This lowers the center of gravity of the boat while ensuring a clear deck and greatly increases the range of the craft. The DR-620 and 750 can be personalized according to the user’s needs. A wide range of optional equipment such as consoles, cleats, navigation frames and an aluminum hatch, that allows access to a wide hold below the deck are available.

The PATROL Series has been developed for the most demanding professional and commercial users. Rescue organizations, coastguards, army fire brigades, merchant marine, oil platforms and any other industrial activity which require the use of strong, resilient, seaworthy, fast and safe craft can benefit from using the PATROL series. These boats are capable of operating in the roughest working conditions. The military design of the hull, with a deep “V” from bow to stern combined with very pronounced spray rails along the hull, improve navigation and buoyancy. This design offers exceptional performance in offshore and general tasks under very rough sea conditions. The manufacturing process and materials used are the same as those described in the Mercury DR series. The models of this series include a fuel tank located under the deck in a watertight compartment perfectly adapted to the “V” shape of the hull. This lowers the center of gravity and greatly increases the range of the craft. This series includes a wide hold below the deck that can be personalized according to the user’s needs, along with a wide choice of optional equipment. If you are looking for serious adventure or just need a dependable and rugged work platform or PATROL boat, this is the series for you.
