Our leadership in this area is strong, with many opportunities for future growth. Over the past year, we have launched the Center for Finance and Technology, a new interdisciplinary fintech minor, and prominent events like the AI and Future of Finance Conference and the Household Finance Conference.

Launched in Fall 2024, the Center for Finance and Technology is a pioneering initiative aimed at developing the next generation of finance professionals. The Center’s vision is to foster a generation of collaborative, ethical, and prepared financial services industry professionals.

Center for Real Estate
In collaboration with the Georgia Tech College of Design and Master of Real Estate Development (MRED) program, we seek to launch a new Center for Real Estate dedicated to shaping the next generation of leaders and innovators in the real estate industry.

Financial Services Innovation Lab
The Financial Services Innovation Lab conducts research, education and outreach on responsible and sustainable finance; fintech, crypto, and blockchain; AI in finance; and fintech entrepreneurship. The Lab supports 15 to 20 Ph.D. students studying finance and machine learning and collaborates with many financial services companies.
Giving opportunities include:
• Support for financial literacy initiative to increase financial proficiency of high school students and undergraduate students
• Support for fintech entrepreneurship
• Expansion of experiential research opportunities for undergraduate students
Next Generation Trading Floor
There is a need for a dedicated lab that simulates the actual trading floor environment in financial firms, providing handson learning experiences for students.
Giving opportunities include:
• Exclusive space where Bloomberg terminals are accessible to students
• Data feeds allowing students to access to real-time data, in partnership with ICE/NYSE
Lounges, Pods, Studios, and Other Spaces
These proposed new spaces would provide students with a collaborative space to develop and refine their work. These environments foster creativity, entrepreneurship, and practical experience, empowering students to drive the future of fintech.

Connecting Atlanta to the World
We desire to host weekly learning sessions in which alumni, practitioners, and students gather for discussions on topics of relevance across equities, fixed income, currencies, and commodities asset classes. Included in these discussions would be experts based in New York City and Chicago who participate virtually, connecting these vibrant fintech hubs to Georgia Tech.
