KITCHEN Design This is a small section of the interior design work focused on kitchen design and layout. The following are some of the selected design/re-model work 2017-2019. These are approved designs for clients across Kerala, India, some completed and the others in progress. Sketchup, Lumion, and Autocad have been used for the design with the minor application of Adobe illustrator, Lightroom, and Indesign for final touches. The styles were mostly inspired by modern English and french style with a modern take on it. The Kitchen is treated in most designs as an extension of the living space where close family and friends are entertained.

Due to practical reasons, the kitchen had to be closed off to prevent the smell from entering the main area and hence a nonreflective glass partition was used. This made it appear very open and was lit up by the natural light from the living.

Apartment Kitchen Design at Cochin
This Apartment kitchen is a semi-open one. Only the breakfast area opens up to the living and the rest of the area is closed off. A minimal and modern design is used here for easy maintenance. It has green cabinetries throughout with a subtext of wood and a white marble backsplash. The backsplash extends to the breakfast area countertop and drops down to the floor making the living feel extravagant.

We replaced it with open racks on both sides of the windows to store the things of daily use. We detailed the racks with triangular sections with brass finish. The location of the hood was centered which made it the focal point as you enter. This has a custom-designed with a tapering plywood
box painted in white on top and wooden planks in the bottom. An Island was also added as there was around 3 feet space available, which made it double down as a breakfast area and a pantry for chopping.

The wall with the door was demolished to have a 3 sided Island with an open rack hanging suspended above it acting as a space for indoor plants or other decors. Wooden textured tile is used as a backsplash with aluminum panels giving it extra protection at the bottom edges.

A greyish green tint runs across the kitchen in the bottom cabinetry as well as the countertop. The white used the top cabinetry enhances the green and the wooden texture used. The colors used have been carefully selected to make the space more welcoming and vibrant at the same time, less flashy.

The home opens up to the kitchen and hence the kitchen grounded and held together with the entire design in terms of design and function. A paneled Island is used here with golden lights suspended over it.

The golden SWAN Boutique Interior Design
The design intent was to create
a platform to showcase designer clothing without the interior design coming in the way. At the same time, carefully using different architectural elements to enhance the products displayed
The design uses golden and wooden accents with a white backdrop. Instead of forcefully bringing in decorative materials, the functional elements like the hanging rods, racks, and the light fixtures bring in the theme and color. The white backdrop is further enhance by bringing in textures in the form of exposed bricks and plaster. 168

Bedroom Interior Design
The intent of the bedroom remodel
was to de-clutter the space and yet make it functional. The large space was divided into 3 zones. The first part comprises of the bed and the bed bench. The second one has the living space with 2 single seater chairs facing the TV over console storage doubling as a TV unit. The third zone is a walk-in closet separated by a curtain. The entire room is painted white to pop out the furniture used and plywood is paneled three-quarters of the wall and painted white to create another layer of texture. Golden and wooden accents are used for light fixtures and furniture.
