LIBER TY MOUNTAINEERS

ARTHUR KNIGHT Head Coach, 2nd season

After a 7-year stint as an assistant coach for the Liberty basketball program, Knight was named head coach of the Mountaineers prior to the 2012-13 season, in which he guided LHS to a 3-20 season. Now entering his second year, Knight hopes to build on that entering Year 2. Knight, a gradaute of Grafton High School in 1997, previously served as an assistant coach under former Liberty head coaches Mark Harrison (2005-2009) and Basil Lucas (2010-12). In 2004, he started his coaching career as an assistant coach at Washington Irving Middle School. Knight graduated from Fairmont State University in 2003, where he was a 4-year member of the Falcons’ Tennis team. He’s currently pursuing his master’s degree from West Virginia University. Knight currently

teaches at Anna Jarvis Middle School, and resides in Flemington with wife, Bethany, and two daughters, Regan and Rylee.

ALEX HOSKINSON

Assistant Coach, 2nd season A volunteer assistant with the team last season, Hoskinson joins the Arthur Knight’s staff full-time this season and will serve as the varsity assistant coach, and head junior varsity coach. Hoskinson graduated from Liberty High School in

2008 and played under Knight, who was an assistant at the time, before graduating from West Virginia Wesleyan with a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education in 2012. He currently resides in Bridgeport with his wife, Alana.

KAMERON CARDER

#12 | senior | G/F | 6-foot | 120 lbs.

“This is Kam’s ON first year out for us, and he’s CARDER been out here getting better everyday. We’ve had him playing a lot of spots already, so we’ve thrown a lot at him for him to learn. He’s spending as much time as possible trying to get where he needs to be. He’s been very eager to improve himself, and that was noticable since day 1.”

KNIGHT

L

KENNETH FOX

#44 | senior | F/C | 6-foot-1 | 215 lbs.

“All summer ON long, Kenny was here getting betFOX ter. Kenny has a way of doing things for us that we sometimes don’t expect him to do. And by that, I mean he always finds ways to be productive for us and because he brings that, we expect him to work his way into our rotation this year. This is only his second year with us, so technique may not be his strongest suit. But he makes up for anything he lacks with a lot of heart and drive.”

BRANDON STIRES

#24 | senior | G/F | 5-foot-11 | 165 lbs.

“With this being ON Brandon’s first year with the STIRES program, he’s had to work through everything and start from scratch. But he’s knowledgeable and has picked up pretty quickly. He’s a guy who, although he’s not the biggest, he has enough heart, and is physical enough where we can play him underneath the basket if we need to.”

KNIGHT

ADAM SHREVE

#5 | senior | G | 5-foot-10 | 125 lbs.

“Adam comes ON into this season as our only SHREVE returning letterman, and he’s put a lot of weight on his shoulders to develop himself into the type of leader that this team needs. On the court, he’s the player to turn to if you need a big shot - he can throw it up from anywhere. Off the court, he led this group all summer, and so far into this season. He always made sure that this team was working, and he has a great relationship with all of his teammates, so they really follow his lead. His attitude has rubbed off on the younger guys.”
