I would like to welcome everyone back to our 7 Oaks & Friends Fantastic Female sale on Sunday, August 18th.
7 Oaks Plantation was started because of a love for Hereford cattle. Mr. Ed Davidson purchased his first registered Herefords in the late 1980’s. I came on board in 1997 and our very first production sale followed in 1998. We were striving to build a solid foundation of Hereford genetics that included bulls like Farley 24F and Prince Victor 71L in addition to cows such as Remitall Ginger 23G and Beth 1L. These genetics have proved to be time-tested. Our last production sale was held in August 2005 and was our most successful up to that point.
Although we have not had a sale since 2005, the love of Hereford cattle has never wavered. In 2015 a partnership formed, and things were put in motion for our future. In June 2022, Mr. Ed went to be with the Lord. Through myself and Mr. Ed’s son, Doug Davidson, we are striving to continue what Mr. Ed started nearly 40 years ago. We have used genetics such as Endure, Validated and 4013 to rebuild our registered herd here and are very proud to offer some of our foundation genetics to you.
Along with our guest consignors, our friends, Doug and I hope you can be with us on Saturday evening, August 17th, for a true southern social with a BBQ dinner and live entertainment, and then join us on Sunday afternoon, August 18th, for the 7 Oaks and Friends

We couldn’t think of any better place to start than L124. This is what 7 Oaks is all about, we strive to raise females that not only excel in phenotype, but numerically as well. L124 is super long, giant ribbed female that stands on an adequate bone structure. This is a combo female, she does it all. Sired by the popular Houston, we believe this is a big-time donor in the making. Her dam T15 has done nothing but great things in the short time she has been in Senoia. This one was Randy Daniel’s favorite in our bred heifer pen back in May. If I knew what was good for us- I would listen to one of the best cowmen, I know and hang onto her. 2226 is massive bodied, loose structured, and great in her balance.
