Straight from the heart of our program is Nightingale named after the Swedish Nightingale from the Greatest Showman. Just like in the movie, P.T. Barnum thought Jenny Lind had the most beautiful voice he had ever heard, and we think Nightingale is the most beautiful heifers we have ever raised. She is long and feminine in her front end and has great body shape and stoutness for a July calf. Sound on the move and hair that most can only wish for. Livewire is the only bull calf I have ever left intact in 8 years of raising Mini Herefords. He, like his full sister CK Nightingale who is selling as lot 3, is a product of our ET program. He excels at structural integrity, soundness, and phenotype. His full sibs have all been exceptional and his sire, Jesse James, had three Grand Champions at the Jr. Nationals this past summer, out of our small herd. Every great breeding bull is supposed to sire a son that will be better than himself and I believe this is the one for Jesse James! I think this bull has big time potential for siring outstanding progeny and future semen sales. Hallie’s got plenty of show ring appeal set on an athletic base, with Ben’s signature angles and flexibility in her hocks and pasterns. We held off on getting Hallie ready for OKC because she was buffalo haired and we weren’t sure what was waiting for us under all that shag. Then, we got her in and peeled the hair off her front one-third and immediately realized our poor judgement in waiting to get this girl primed. Hallie will compete in the ring, then make great ones.
