It carries over to their golf villas, which are surrounded by the gorgeous Parkland Golf Course. Legends Golf Villas The Legends villas were created to feel like a Scottish Village, in which everything you need is readily available and accessible. The villas are among the best that Myrtle Beach has to offer and guests will enjoy a fabulous combination of world-class golf and top notch accommodtions. Centrally located within the resort is the Ailsa Pub, this is where you get together with friends, drink, dine and watch the game on 16 HD TV's. Heathland Course The par 71 Heathland Course, designed by Tom Doak, has been distinctly molded in the image of the British Isles. The challenge and difficulty of this course comes primarily from the constant breeze that blows over the course. Watch out for the strategically placed bunkers and lush, deep rough that closely border the fairways as they lie in wait of any errant shot.
Moorland Course Considered one of the best challenges along the East Coast, the par 72 Moorland course was designed by noted golf architect P. B. Dye and opened for play in 1990. Natural growth, sand, water and waste areas combine with remarkable undulations and bulkheads to present a course reminiscent of the PGA West Stadium Course. Parkland Course Taking its place alongside the award-winning Heathland and Moorland courses, the Parkland course demonstrates the diversity and beauty of the natural terrain. Playing the challenging fairway and green-side bunkering requires accuracy off the tee and ones approach. Tee to green, strategy is key on this stunning par-72 layout. Heritage Plantation Although not on the resort site, Heritage Plantation is part of the Legends lineup. This Par 71 Dan Maples design follows the natural contours of the land, featuring spacious, rolling fairways and large, undulating greens that are surrounded by gorgeous stands of crepe myrtle, camellias and azaleas. Oyster Bay Another off site Legends beauty is Oyster Bay Golf Links. This layout is a rare blend of penalizing and strategic philosophies of golf course architecture. The par-70 course plays to just under 6,700 yards and features two island green par threes, cavernous bunkers, wickedly undulating greens and lengthy par four's.
