Imperial Homes Tiarra Premiere & Delsey A developer of low-cost and middle-income quality housing, Imperial Homes Corporation is building the Philippines’ first affordable homes fitted with solar panels. Located south of metropolitan Manila in Santo Tomas, Batangas, the Tierra Premiere and Delsey Homes developments feature 1,000 attached two-story homes with a total floor area of 36 square meters each. Nearly 300 of the homes have received EDGE design certification. The homes were designed by Florida-based firm C.C. Buencamino Architect. Imperial Homes aspires to be a leader in innovative and environmentally-friendly housing technology while simultaneously helping to alleviate the backlog of three million housing units in the Philippines. The goal is to use solar technology as a way for homeowners to generate more power than they consume and provide the excess back to the utility company. This is particularly important for low-income residents who can avoid the country’s high cost of electricity. RESOURCE EFFICIENCIES
