On May 25, 2023, our Heavenly Father called for one of his children. Clarone Marcus Bailey to join him into eternal rest.
Clarone was born on November 18, 1943, to the late Charlie Lee and Josephine R. Marcus. She is proceeded in death by her husband of 28 years, Edward V. Bailey Jr.; Son, Donnell L. Bailey; Sister, JoAnn M. Clark; Great grandsons, Kade L. and Khai L. Green.
Clarone graduated from Huntington High School in 1962. She then went to work at Hampton University for 30 plus years. She was baptized at St. Paul AME Church at an early age. Later in life she attended Gethsemane Baptist Church on a regular basis, until her health started failing.
Clarone was affectionately known as “Clarice” to family and friends. She will be remembered as a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.
Clarone leaves to honor and cherish her memories; One daughter, Carla D. Bailey; Two sons, Derek V. Sr. (Michelle) and Andre L. (Yolanda); Six grandchildren, Tamesha, Tyrell, Chaz, Derek Jr. (Daneshaya), Tatiana (Arron), and Najeela; Three great grandchildren, Aubree, Maliyah, and Dawson; One brother, Gerard D. (Carol) Marcus; Four nieces, Candance and April Wright, Nalaja Freeman and Alexis Sharpe; One nephew, Gerard Marcus Jr.; One great nephew, Zaire Freeman; One great niece, Zen Freeman; And a host of loving cousins, family, and friends.

The family of the late Clarone Bailey would like to extend their gratitude for all acts of kindness shown during their time of bereavement. Please keep them in prayer in the days to come as God mends their broken hearts. My God continue to bless each of you.
