Landon Burnette Foster was called home to take his eternal rest on Sunday, February 10, 1969. Landon was born to Martha Whittaker-Barnes and Joseph Williams on February 13, 2022. He was a graduate of Ferguson High School in 1987. He was employed by Phoenix Construction Company. Landon was a great father, brother, uncle, grandfather and best friend. Landon loved his family and cherished the time he had to spend with them. He was a big sports fan, and especially loved his favorite team the Dallas Cowboys and L.A. Lakers. He enjoyed music and the sounds of Tupac and the Bee Gees. He will be loved and missed forever by his family and all who knew him. Landon accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He was an active member of Gethsemane Baptist Church in Newport News, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandmother, J. M. Robinson. Landon leaves fun memories with his children, Brandon Ashlock and Chiquita Patterson; siblings, Trina Foster, Cheanique Foster, Valencia Whittaker, Damion Whittaker, Starro Thomas, and Lil Joseph; grandchildren, Jaquel, Serenity, Tyrice, Makiyah, Uriyah; nieces, Tyreeka, Shanqual, Ka’Deejah, Kaniya, Diamond, CeCe, and Bre; nephews, Akeem, Rashead, Tre, and Chance; great nieces, K.K. and Zaniaya; great nephews, Tyrek and Shad; best friends, Tony Pope, Brian Hargraves and Antwine Cofield; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

I’m Free
Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free, I’m following the path God laid for me. I took his hand when I heard his call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work, to play. Tasks left undone must stay that way, I’ve found that peace at the end of the day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah, yes, these things too I will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My Life’s been full, I savoured much, Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch.
