On Thursday, August 5, 2021, Lavonia Deborah Davis “Vonia” went home to be with

the Lord. Vonia was born on September 20,1972 in Newport News, VA to the late Alvin Moore and Laura Davis.

She was a graduate of Ferguson High School and ECPI University. Her passion of caring for people turned into her profession as a dedicated employee of

Hope in Home Care, LLC, as a Personal Care Assistant. She didn’t view it as a job, but as a time to connect with clients who had become her friends.

Vonia was the kind of person you could count on to have your back, whether it was a

small matter or major issue, she came running when you called. Her love of people was

never more evident than when she stepped up at the death of her sister, Norvease “Stuff “to raise her daughter Armone. That love and loyalty will be greatly missed.

Lavonia was preceded in death by her mother Laura A. Davis, her father Alvin Moore, her sister Norvease N. Davis, her maternal grandparents James Davis, Jr and Gola C. Davis, paternal grandparents Lucille Moore and Robert Moore, Sr.

She leaves to cherish her memories niece/daughter, Armone N. Davis; Fiancé, James

“John” Outlaw; brother, Alvin Moore, Jr.; godchildren, Jordan Price and Zion Carter;

aunts, Aravia Johnson (Abdullah), Felecia DeBrew (Larry), Lorraine Moore, Celestine Moore, Myrna Elam (special aunt); uncles, Clifton Moore (Angela), Dennis Moore,

Nelson Moore; special cousins, Shelia Jacksn, FeLarrisha DeBrew, Shawanna Moore, Tamekia Moore, Sherrice Elam, Ravenna Johnson; Numerous cousins as well as a multitude of family and friends.
