Minister Mary Braxton was born in Trinidad, West Indies and migrated to the United States at the age of 10. She attended New York University and took additional business classes at Strayer University. After being called into the ministry, she attended the Evans- Smith Institute. On May 11,2019, Minister Braxton earned her Master of Divinity Degree from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University. She served in the ministry of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church for fifteen years and in January of 2011, she became one of the founding citizens of New Jerusalem Ministries (NJM) where the pastor is Dr. Veronica Coleman. She was licensed to preach on July 14, 2013 at NJM. Minister Braxton serves the ministry of NJM as the coordinator and lead facilitator of the New Citizens Classes and serves as the director of the Grief and Loss Ministry. She is also the Leader of the Intercessory Prayer Ministry and the 6 A.M. Impact Prayer line. Minister Braxton stands on the truth of John 15:5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit, apart from me you can do nothing”. It is in and through Christ that she lives, serves and has her being. Minister Braxton is married to Rick Braxton. They are blessed with two daughters Stephanie and Kristin, a son-in-law Bruce, and two grandchildren Heavyn and Elijah. Deedra Chambers is a Hampton, VA resident who hails from the small town of Rustburg, VA. Deedra earned a B.A. In Psychology from Hampton University, a M.Div. from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University and is currently in a Doctor of Ministry program at Regent University. Deedra is an Associate Minister at Gethsemane Baptist Church. She currently serves as a Chaplain Resident at Riverside Regional Medical Center. Deedra is a author, playwright, producer, director, actor and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Her most important role is to her family; to her husband Luther Chambers and their children: Adonis, Micah, Ayanna and Rebekah. Deedra loves to encourage people to never give up hope because God has insight to your circumstances and a plan for you; Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Cory Gernard Doxey was born December 24, 1974 in Norfolk, Virginia and is the eldest of three children to First Lady Cynthia P. Doxey and Pastor Clyde L. Doxey, Jr. Cory received his formal education in the Norfolk Public Schools, and graduated from Norview High School. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a Master’s in Business Administration both from the University of Phoenix, Bakersfield, California Campus. Cory accepted Christ and was baptized at a very young age at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Virginia Beach VA under the spiritual guidance of the late Bishop William Darryl Scott Sr. He is a proud husband and father: His wife Nicole and three beautiful daughters and two sons Khayla, Kiah, Kaci, Troy and Jacob. Cory is a proud member of the following organizations: Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated; San Joaquin Lodge #11 F&AM PHA Bakersfield, CA; Santa Joaquina Chapter #14 Order of the Eastern Star, Bakersfield, CA; Santa Monica Consistory #296, Santa Monica, CA; Muharram Temple #95 Shriners, Santa Monica, CA; and Flaming Knights Motorcycle Club Castle #26 Norfolk, VA. He is currently the Campus Executive Director for Centura College Norfolk Campus and has been working in the field of Higher Education since 1995. Of all of his many personal achievements, being a Child of God and finally accepting his call to ministry is his greatest achievement of them all. Following the call of God upon his life, he has served as an Assistant Sunday School Superintendent at Saint Peters Restoration Community Christian Ministries under Pastor Oscar Anthony Sr. in Bakersfield CA; and is currently serving as the Sunday School Superintendent and Director of the Christian Board of Education for New Covenant Fellowship Baptist Church. He was licensed to preach the Gospel on September 29, 2019 under Pastor Clyde L Doxey Jr. He currently serves as Assistant to the pastor and Associate Minister at New Covenant Fellowship Baptist Church. Cory is currently enrolled at The Evans-Smith Institute of Church Leadership program through Virginia Union University Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology peninsula site at Gethsemane Baptist Church. Cory is encouraged greatly by the words of King Solomon as recorded in Proverbs 3:1 “My Son forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments.”
Tiffany Holloman is a native of Newport News, VA and currently resides in Baltimore, MD. She is the youngest of three daughters of parents, Ruby Morrison and Thomas Penn. She is the proud wife of Ramon Holloman of 15 years and mother to Areyana Cordell. She grew up in the church and has been a part of ministry and church all her life. Tiffany received her call from God in August of 2014. As she continued to follow the plan that God laid for her, she was licensed to preach on June 15th, 2017, under the leadership of Pastor Dwight S. Riddick Sr., D. Min of Gethsemane Baptist Church where she currently serves as an Associate Minister. She has served in various ministries from Young Adult Dance Ministry, The Answer Youth Ministry, Welcome Center Ministry, and Broken Silence Step Ministry. In 2018, Tiffany Holloman Ministries was launched with the sole mission to Encourage, Excite, and
Empower the people of God through the Word of God. In 2019, under TH Ministries the first annual “It Ain’t Over Empowerment Conference” was held and through that conference many lives and hearts were changed and transformed. Tiffany published her first book entitled “It Ain’t Over the Fire is Still Burning” in September of 2019 and currently is writing her second book titled “Exercising Faith in Uncharted Territory.” Tiffany was called to encourage the lives of others with the Word of God. She leans on Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
George Lee Wilson was born in Chesapeake, VA on October 1, 1969 to the late Wallace Wilson and Mittie E. Wilson. He is the 9th child of 10 children. George was educated in the Chesapeake School System. After graduation he went into the Army Reserves where he served for 7 years. Upon completing his Military term he then began his career at Chesapeake Mosquito Control as a Crew Supervisor and was promoted to Biologist. In 1991 he married Rita Wilson and they began a life together with their three Children, Connel, Dellino and Eboni. In which he now has 10 grandchildren and 2 daughter-in-law’s, Ava and Lisa. In 1997 George made the decision to enter into Law Enforcement in Hampton Virginia where he served for 11 years. During his life and career he faithfully served as a member, Deacon and Youth Minister at New Galilee Baptist Church. Now, known as New Galilee Missionary Baptist Church. George has many mentors including the leadership of NGMBC. George has numerous certificates and training from various universities and colleges such as: North Carolina Bible Institute, studying Biblical Counciling, Hope Christian Center College of Theology under the training of Dr. Albert Green, Saint Leo University, N.A.C.E. International Institute, Tidewater Community College, Security Consultants Incorporated, S.S.P.C., Virginia Department of Emergency Management, State Board of Community Colleges and many more not listed. Even with so many accomplishments, George credits the love for God for who he has grown to be. He is always ready to give you an encouraging word and discuss the goodness of the Lord. With his faithfulness and dedication, if I had to describe George in a few words. It would be, he is the true example of a Man of God and Service above Self.
