TOP RESORT MEETING HOTELS 2012 - 2013 1. KEMPINSKI PALACE
KONGRESNA ZVEZDA MEETINGS STAR 2013
Portorož, Slovenia
4.77
The Kempinski Hotel is the only five-star superior hotel in Slovenia. This means that the rooms are spa- cious and well-equipped, as befits a top hotel. The inte- rior colour is subdued, modernly designed and appears prestigious whilst offering a lot of style and freshness. The technical equipment showcases the hotel’s tech- nological sophistication. The modern convention centre is prestigious and well-equipped. Six confer- ence rooms have natural daylight and the largest hall can accommodate up to 220 participants. The heart of the convention offer is Crystal Hall, which after the renovation shone in full splendour and in addition to the Union Hall in Ljubljana is the most prestigious conference and banquet hall in Slovenia. It opens onto a century-old park, which is an attractive venue for outdoor events. 2. HOTEL MONTE MULINI
Rovinj, Croatia
4.76
This is the hotel to enjoy, to which the entire business philosophy is covered. There are only a few hotels that delight and thrill as fully as Monte Mulini does. The hotel looks good, is superbly equipped and offers a number of extras. The longer we hung out in the hotel, the better was the feeling that it is an extraordinary gastronomic oasis. A real 5 star hotel in an excellent location. Suitable for the most demanding and exclusive conference events. 3. FALKENSTEINER SCHLOSS HOTEL VELDEN
Velden, Austria
4.73
The legendary hotel is no doubt one of the best hotels in the region. Managed with German precision and Austrian charm, it is the ideal of excellence in all areas. Unfortunately, the town Valden is not following the hotel standards and also the rest of the tourist offer is average. After the takeover by the Falkensteiner hotel chain the hotel was slightly refreshed and is probably one of the best incentive hotels for the most demanding guests. The Hotel was established as the best hotel for elite guests in Carinthia. We consider that the goal is close, however still a little mastery of details will be needed by the Falkensteiner Team. You know what happens when a large hotel chain buys a boutique hotel; in the great zeal to rationalise, it is often forgotten that some things simply cannot be squeezed into a boutique hotel. 4. HOTEL LONE
Rovinj, Croatia
4.72
We understand design hotels as an experience that includes reflection and very personal contact with culture, nature and the culinary art of the destination. The creators of the first Croatian design Hotel Lone were probably thinking similarly. I like it. Lovers of hotel glamour and kitsch will not like it but we think that luxury is in small details, like a enormous room service menu and the hotel guide in broadsheet newspaper format or in selected fabric for curtains and numerous other details. The hotel is ideal for ”DINKS” and young professionals and a monument of Croatian creativity and the zeitgeist of the new generation. 5. HOTEL EXCELSIOR & SPA DUBROVNIK
Dubrovnik, Croatia
Dubrovnik’s high-flier defies time and its increasing competition in the city. The image of the hotel’s myth is built on the reputation of being the best hotel in the city. This traditional hotel is still very high on the quality scale, however, it seems that at the same time it has several competitors breathing down its neck. ‘Excelsior is Excelsior’, though, and this sentence you often hear in Dubrovnik. It would be difficult to place any other hotel in Dubrovnik into this thought with the same special meaning. This, however, does not diminish the value of other local competitors, which are continuing to build on other strengths. 4

6. HOTEL LAV MERIDIEN
Split, Croatia
4.62
It is in a class of its own on the current hotel and convention scene in Split. Operators of Starwood have done their homework excellently and are winners in the most sensitive area; friendliness and professionalism of the staff. This has in the past earned them a place among the best in its class. However, there are also some shortcomings, particularly in the field of catering and hospitality, where one would expect a little more from a top hotel. However, this is a balanced congress hotel, which is elegant and charming and the perfect choice for the most demanding congress clients.
7. HOTEL MELIA CORAL
Umag, Croatia
4.58
Hotel Meliá Coral convinces with the quality of the offer, comfort and spaciousness. The final grade is that this is a good hotel for good money. Prices are in fact reasonable in relation to the nearby Istrian and Slovenian competition. Numerous options for organising receptions and outdoor activities. Istratourist together with the hotel chain Melia without much bragging managed to make a great hotel and convention product. Umag is becoming a serious and respected European incentive destination.
8. SPIRIT HOTEL
Sarvar, Hungary
4.54
The hotel Spirit certainly represents a new chapter in the rich history and culture of spa tourism of Sárvár, which is currently the “flag ship” of the city. Hotel Spirit is elegant, spacious and because of all this an impressive hotel. It is certainly not perfect. Anyone wishing to take advantage of everything the hotel has to offer will have to deal with a relatively high price for this part of Europe.
9. HOTEL & SPA IADERA
Zadar, Croatia
4.52
The overall result of the new resort is extremely good. The hotel follows the known standards of the Falkensteiner group and is an excellent choice for incentive and product launches and smaller conferences. It is important to avoid the high tourist season and go for less frequent dates, carefully planning the arrivals logistics. From what we saw and experienced we can only give a firm nod of approval.
10. VALAMAR LACROMA
Dubrovnik, Croatia
The hotel does not disappoint and in terms of hotel functionality it is difficult to criticize anything. The thoughtful, functional and smartly designed convention centre is a rarity and the organisation of events in it is a joy. With the latest renovation of Dubrovnik President Hotel the resort offers a wide variety of capacities appealing to different sizes of participant pockets. The entire hotel-convention package could be placed a class higher, particularly due to the high practicality in the field of congress tourism. The overall impression is tarnished only by the slightly higher price, which then falls within the scope of decision making for organising an event in Dubrovnik.

11. HOTEL SPLENDID
Budva, Montengro
4.50
For some years the hotel has been a jewel in the hotel offer of Montenegro. Tough competition awaits it this year, but given everything that it has demonstrated it defies time well. One could also say that the experience is considered. How high can we therefore place the hotel Splendid. High, the hotel may no longer be the most advanced one on the Montenegrin coast, but it is still in top form, which delights guests among which Russians and many celebrities dominate. With materials, equipment, and the overall feeling they are still at the top of the Montenegrin hospitality. 12. HOTEL DUBROVNIK PALACE
Dubrovnik, Croatia
4.41
At the Hotel Dubrovnik Palace I wonder how little is needed to move from being a solid hotel to some- thing special and collecting numerous awards. Firstly, it is about the quality of services, as well as about marketing that was excellently prepared around the hotel and is reflected in its increased profile. According to the World Travel Awards jury, something of a tourism Oscar, the hotel earned the 2011 award for being the leading Croatian hotel and spa resort. At the same time, we wonder whether they are eligible for other prizes. After visiting the hotel, it is clear that the Hotel Dubrovnik Palace deserved the award; to the highest category it does not lack much, and depending on the assessment we ranked it among the top premium congress hotels in the region, where the emphasis is not only on the environment but on quality. In almost all respects a modern hotel and definitely a good choice among the many options in Dubrovnik. 13. RADISSON BLU RESORT & SPA
Dubrovnik, Croatia
4.38
The Hotel does not have any serious weaknesses and convinces with comfort and quality as it befits hotels in the colours of the Radisson chain. If we used the automotive jargon, it is a premium hotel. If you wonder what we see under the term premium in this hotel, then this would be its rich and luxurious equipment, small details and above all the image of the brand. If you have ever organised a meeting in a hotel belonging to the Radisson Blu chain, then you can expect a similar experience in Dubrovnik. The Hotel is very suitable for incentive events, which seem to be taking place as if they were lined up on the conveyor belt at the Hotel’s Convention Centre. 14. WELNESS HOTEL SOTELIA
Podčetrtek, Slovenia
4.36
Hotel Sotelia was never hiding its ambitions to bring to the meetings industry a genuine wellness expe- rience, which other competitors do not yet know. In addition, the distinctive architectural design has many admirers; small details always attract the eye. In all respects this is a very good hotel with confer- ence facilities for smaller events. Together with the rich tourist and sports offer Podčetrtek is ideal for the implementation of various incentives and other incentive programmes. The hotel is no longer the newest on the market, but it is still fresh enough and different from the other offer in Slovenia. 15. GRAND HOTEL TOPLICE
Bled, Slovenia
In Slovenia there are only a few hotels with such a long tradition and regular guests who like to return to Bled. The Hotel Toplice (Spa) remains one of these, regardless of the change of ownership and renovation of a hotel CLASSIC that gets under your skin. Changes since the last renewal have been welcome, but they did not deprive the hotel of its soul. This is the right hotel for sworn lovers of historical locations and a place where time slows down and almost stops. It is reminiscent of the period that many people long for. 6

Hiddden Congress Guest
KONGRESNA ZVEZDA MEETINGS STAR 2013
16. HOTEL BALNEA SUPERIOR
Dolenjske toplice, Slovenia
4.35
A full-blooded wellness experience that does not disappoint your congress guests - the interiors and architecture of the hotel is sound in all respects and the quality craftsmanship and materials used satisfy at first glance, with the only drawback being that the hotel is generally very busy and so your conference guests will have to mix with classical health guests. Otherwise, this spa is where you can be a little removed from the world and enjoy the peace and intimacy of your event. A very authentic and very genuine boutique congress experience. 17. AVALA RESORT & VILLAS
Budva, Montenegro
4.34
A hotel with great potential, which stands out with its appearance. It is flirting with luxury clients and tries to understand their most demanding requirements. A hotel that wants to be the best on the Montenegrin scene, but will have to continue to work hard on its ‘software’. However, it surprises in many ways and convinces mostly with its lifestyle story. With its dandy design its shortcomings are easily forgiven. It is therefore not surprising that in this month the spectacular Cavalli fashion show is being held here as well as many other events of this rank. 18. KEMPINSKI HOTEL ADRIATIC
Savudrija, Croatia
4.32
If you are looking for a conference hotel with a very varied offer and a relative closure of the resort that offers privacy, then Kempinski Adriatic is the right choice. The completeness of the offer and the supplementary extras makes sure you will definitely not yawn. The design of the hotel is advanced, but sometimes a bit unpractical because of the size of the resort. However, most conference guests will be positively surprised and enthusiastic. The biggest minus for a hotel of the Kempinski brand is the staff, who are working hard, but the impression is spoilt by numerous smaller details. Loyal fans of the Kempinski brand will not be disappointed by the hotel, rather they will be enthusiastic about the tried and tested hotel service in a more modern Istrian disguise. 19. HOTEL PUNTA
Veli Lošinj, Croatia
4.30
A natural environment that has a calming effect - on one side the sea, on the other pine trees. Although Punta, because of its positioning as a ‘Vitality hotel’ on the first ball does not catch con- gress guests, it is a very suitable choice for the or- ganisation of business and motivational events for groups of up to 60 guests. Professional service, friendly staff, solid cuisine, reasonable prices and interesting additional offer.
20. GRAND HOTEL PRIMUS, TERME PTUJ
Ptuj, Slovenia
Often for an event we need more than just a well- equipped hall: what happens during breaks, at lunch, and at the evening event is also important. In the Grand Hotel Primus the offer is so rich that you can easily fill a day, two or more for your partic- ipants with a quality programme. The grand hotel Primus convinces, especially with its authentic story.

21. THERMANA CONGRESS CENTRE
Laško, Slovenia
4.25
It’s a little more than two years since the opening of the congress centre and the hotel, for which we can say that it is already one of the more likable options. In addition, Thermana offers a lot for a moderate amount, which is very important in today’s economic climate. It is also striking how much Laško can offer to congress guests in addition to the traditional beer. Everything from one of the best Slovenian cuisine restaurants to exceptional cultural and historical heritage, along with the option of organising green meetings. Given all of the above, Thermana’s congress offer became a hit and caused a true earthquake on the Slovenian market. The organisation of events with the option of extra wellness pampering is very appealing, and for the time being we can only make reference to the new congress offer with full respect.
22. HOTEL VALAMAR SANFIOR
Rabac, Croatia
4.25
The renovated hotel h as unexpectedly placed Rabac on the map of new, fresh incentive destinations. The hotel with its renovation became more useful and adaptable to the needs of convention guests. In modern parlance, we could say that it is a multitask- ing hotel. Whilst it is not a real convention hotel, it will easily perform well for the needs of a pleasant meeting or an event.
23. BOHINJ EKO PARK
Bohinj, Slovenia
4.24
Pioneering is not easy, especially in the field of tourism. The hotel is a real hidden treasure and is actually very well managed, but we wonder why they did not prefer to go for 4-star superior category, into which they could easily fit¸ as for the 5 stars they sometimes fall short in the field of standard service and cuisine. They lack the hotel glamour of the more famous alpine tourist destinations. It is true that they are the first in the field of sustainable tourism, but is it worth the higher classification and the price? For some, certainly; for others, the equation does not work out and they will instead explore alternative solutions, but the hotel is nevertheless an excellent choice. It is important that congress organisers also have available a hotel that is friendly to the environment. In short, if you are willing to accept some disadvantages, the Bohinj Eco Park will sit at the top of its class.
24. LIFECLASS GRAND HOTEL PORTOROŽ
Portorož, Slovenia
Lifeclass stakes its reputation on the provision of high quality services and a lot of pleasure for their guests, which they manage to do well. The hotel and convention centre, however, just lack a bit more character, and a look across the street at Portorož’s first class facility that does not leave their guests cold could help. Set against the quality of service of the nearby Kempinski Hotel, the Grand Hotel Portorož is more deserving of four rather than five stars. A little more emotion, playfulness and hotel dynamic could leave a completely different final impression of the hotel.

25. RIMSKE TERME
Rimske term, Slovenia
4.19
Following a period of turbulence, the Spa management is now working to restore its lustre and it must be admitted that so far they are making good progress. The hotel is undergoing its spring and is especially blowing on the souls of those who want a different experience and a disconnection from the everyday world. With their offer they are trying to move towards above standard to high quality, while taking into account local traditions. The main complaint is related to the offer of the town, which is still not aware what kind of a pearl the Roman Spa is. With a special offer, an exquisite cuisine and its pleasing architecture, the Roman Spa is a competitor to Slovenia’s more experienced thermal providers worthy of serious consideration. 26. SPA & SPORT RESORT SVETI MARTIN
Sveti Martin na Muri, Croatia
4.18
At the beginning of the year, the management of the hotel was taken over by the hotel chain Lifeclass. With their vast experience in the field of congress tourism, we believe that the resort will be re-posi- tioned on the new map of conference and in particu- lar incentive destinations. The hotel itself is well designed and except for minor cosmetic changes they will not have a difficult job. It is complement- ed by the offer of 120 apartments, which puts it in a suitable location for medium to large conferences of up to 300 participants. The hotel teamed with the authentic surroundings is designed in such a way to offer a very competitive and different conference experience. 27. HOTEL OLYMPIA VODICE
Vodice, Croatia
4.16
One rarely comes across hotels that are managed with love and heart. In this part of Dalmatia hotels that operate throughout the season are also rare. These are, besides the good access, the main competitive advantages of the Olympia Hotel. With the new 5 star hotel, the more prestigious Split and Dubrovnik will get a serious contender in Central Dalmatia. The hotel, and with it Vodice, are already definitely a good choice and in almost all respects a modern and high-quality congress provider. 28. HOTEL MAESTRAL
Pržno, Montenegro
4.06
Hotel Maestral is a kind of crossover between the convention centre, the hotel and the casino. It can be considered the pioneer of such forms of tourism resorts in Montenegro. Soon after the concept was copied elsewhere on the Montenegrin coast. Maestral, despite the competition, managed to maintain the meetings primacy, but for perfection it still needs some improvements in hotel rooms. In any case the talent over the years matures and improves with age.
29. HOTEL GOLF BLED
Bled, Slovenia
At first glance the hotel doesn’t evoke any special emotions, but in the end it’s obvious that you can’t go wrong with a classic approach when trying to cater for the entire spectrum of hotel guests. The hotel is comfortable enough and is currently the best choice for mid-sized events in Bled. What makes it stand out are the additional offers and a really well developed congress centre with one of the best views in Slovenia. The low points of the congress offer are the rooms, which will soon find themselves in need of a renovation. 9

30. HOTEL LARIX HIT ALPINEA
Kranjska gora, Slovenia
3.99
According to the latest hotel standards, the hotel’s concept stayed somewhere halfway. In terms of conference delegates it, together with subsidiary Hotel Kompas, is intended a role of flag bearers of Kranjska Gora. It impresses with spaciousness and flexibility, less with the service. We believe that with the new hotel management the hotel is going to gain new guest and improve the offer, which will have a positive impact on the development of Kranjska Gora.
31. GRAND HOTEL BERNARDIN
Portorož, Slovenia
3.97
Congress organisers are looking for surplus, quality and an attractive location. All this Hotel Bernardin had, but the old glory accumulated much dust. The Hotel was the first real Convention Centre and following the development, a number of the same Convention Halls at first view ware created. But cards have shuffled. Competition is active. In Portorož, Kempinski now sets the standards and the distinguishing advantage remains the size of the main Convention Hall. In the Hotel part, Bermardin is now lagging behind the competition, but remains to have an advantage because of its Congress capacities. The Hotel chic requires a lot of time and money and also for this hotel it is true that it is sometimes better to have a star less and more satisfied guests. 32. NOVI SPA HOTEL & RESPORT
Novi Vinodolski, Croatia
A resort with outstanding potential and unfortunately the hand in management appears semi-organised. The design is at the level of the best centres in the Adriatic, comfort is commendable, the concept thrills, less so the final implementation where spoiled congressmen are missing a lot, but those who are happy with wonderful views and comfort will be satisfied.

TOP CITY MEETING HOTELS 2012 - 2013 1. METROPOL PALACE
KONGRESNA ZVEZDA MEETINGS STAR 2013
Belgrade, Serbia
4.79
The legend has returned to Belgrade. Historic heritage has been in the long renovation excellently rebuilt and the hotel today is flirting with premium hotels in major metropolitan cities of the region. Warm colours, superior lighting, retro furniture and services at an appropriate level place it among the best hotels in the Balkans. If you want to impress your conference guests, then this hotel at the moment is the best choice in Belgrade. The hotel in which the memory of the good returns, which many people are missing today.
2. ESPLANADE ZAGREB
Zagreb, Croatia
4.78
The hotel is an excellent choice for business and congress guests and is probably the regional flagship in terms of service quality, customer care, prestige and image. Staying at the hotel is a special experience, with a package that gives you a feeling of luxury.
3. HOTEL SAVOIA EXCELSIOR PALACE
Trieste, Italia
4.65
The Savoia Excelsior Palace is definitely a good example of why such hotels are still a big selling hit and a shining exception on the otherwise quite tired Trieste congress-hotel scene. The hotel with its offer is a good starting point for the re-launch of Trieste as a congress destination. Less can be more. Probably the most stylish first category facility also in the wider region.
4. SHERATON SOFIA HOTEL BALKAN
Sofia, Bulgaria
4.51
Extremely practical classic hotel, which has recently received numerous competition. The question remains what, in addition to the central position, differs the hotel Sheraton from contemporary competitors. If you’re a fan of minimalism and the latest hotel fashion than this hotel is not customised for you. It is a traditional hotel with the classic charm of the hotel, which is felt at every step after entering the hotel lobby. However, for the hotel to keep pace with the competition it will need cosmetic refurbishment in hotel rooms.
5. CROWNE PLAZA BELGRADE
Belgrade, Serbia
The hotel is a true convention hotel that at the moment outperforms the rest of the Belgrade convention hotels. It stands out both in terms of size and functionality of meetings area, and it has extremely quickly become synonymous with being the congress hotel of Belgrade, a hotel that sets new standards and especially for the congress scene of the city.

6. FALKENSTEINER HOTEL BELGRADE
Belgrade, Serbia
4.47
We first of all assess a hotel with the eyes, then later comes the assessment from a range of other senses. Here the enthusiasm is high, thanks to the architect, Boris Podrecca, who has succeeded in redefining the urban business hotel. The main feature of the hotel is its dynamic and attractive appearance and top quality of services tailored to business customers, which places the hotel among the top among the current hotel offer of Belgrade.
7. KEMPINSKI HOTEL ZOOGRAFSKI SOFIA
Sofia, Bulgaria
4.46
Reasonable prices, a solid selection of restaurants, beautiful views from the rooms, especially on the Vitosha mountain, a great convention centre are the main advantages of the hotel. Still, the hotel is far from the standards of other hotels in the Kempinski chain. The most disturbing are lobbies and other public areas, which call for urgently needed renovation, and inconsistent services. The hotel also in the final evaluation fits into the category of four stars and does not reach the standard of five stars, but because of the diversity of the hotel offer in combination with the cuisine, a large number of rooms and spaciousness it is still a very good choice for meeting planners. 8. GRAND HOTEL UNION EXECUTIVE
Ljubljana, Slovenia
4.45
Taste of meetings organizers is unpredictable and difficult to follow, but the choice of Grand Hotel Union is definitely a right one. Due to the excellent convention halls, flexibility and friendly staff, of course. In the Ljubljana conference offer the Grand Hotel Union reigns. Excellent hotel for convention gourmets and a true flag bearer of the Ljubljana hotel conference offer ever since 1905.
9. HYATT REGENCY
Belgrade, Serbia
4.44
Hyatt Regency is a legend on the Belgrade hotel scene. It represents an excellent choice in Belgrade’s current premium class. For many years it has been the most reliable and convincing Belgrade hotel. Soon it will face fierce competition with an excess of hotels, which will necessarily demand a renovation of the existing hotel. Already the rooms are calling for renovation. The hotel has a soul, which has been successfully shared with its guests for a number of years and, like the city itself, it does not leave you feeling indifferent.
10. HOTEL WESTIN
Zagreb, Croatia
Westin Hotel is contemporary but not modern, spacious but not over equipped, robust yet flexible hotel for those who care a lot for practicality and reliability. Westin Hotel still functions perfectly and is among congress clients well received due to its versatility and professionalism of the staff. Service, staff, quality in all the important elements of the hotel works well, it is disturbed only by the lack of a hotel of character and personality, which more inclines the hotel towards four stars.

11. HOTEL LEV
Ljubljana, Slovenia
4.43
Hotel Lev is somehow reminiscent of car limousines: in our region, despite numerous advantages they are not always the first choice. The situation is completely different in other markets, where limousines dominate among cars as do those with pedigree and genetic blueprint of large hotel chains among hotels. Lev is love at second sight, which never disappoints. After all, not all guests are the same and to some more important than the appearance of the hotel are the well-being, comfort and friendliness of the staff that makes all the difference. After all, this hotel is “good value for money, which today is also very important to business guests. 12. HOTEL BRISTOL
Sarajevo, Bosnia
4.35
A well-managed business hotel, which to the Sarajevo market brings the experience of international hotel chains. The Hotel Bristol offers business travelers and convention guests excellent working facilities and service on a global scale, flirting with the highest quality. Smart details, fine fabrics, comfort and everything else that belongs to the top class business hotels. European guests are disturbed only by the prohibition of alcohol, which could be more clearly and explicitly communicated. 13. FOUR POINTS BY SHERATON LJUBLJANA MONS Ljubljana, Slovenia
4.35
A hotel that promises its guests the same quality of accommodation they get in similar hotels of the brand worldwide. The renovated hotel is more different than one would sense at first glance, and perhaps now it is even more suited to business guests. With the Four Points by Sheraton chain one also gets the expected quality, the result being a kind of hotel golf, for which it is difficult to criticise anything.
14. HOTEL SHERATON
Zagreb, Croatia
4.30
A traditionalist on the Zagreb hotel scene that defies time and wins congress buyers and business guests with its variety and versatility of halls. The Sheraton is showing the results of years of hard work in the services field. The staff is among the friendliest in the city. Any criticism is for the hotel rooms that are in urgent need of a renovation. Totting up the pluses and minuses, the Sheraton remains one of the best hotels in Zagreb. 15. HOTEL HABAKUK
Maribor, Slovenia
Hotel Habakuk is the leading conference hotel in the SE part of Slovenia. On entering the market it had a great advantage over competitors because of the vision of the owners and it still has good results to this day because of that. The hotel as a whole does not merit criticism. However, some adjustments that could put Habakuk amongst the top competition again will have to be considered. With the renovation of the rooms they have partially moved forward. The integrity of the accompanying offer on Pohorje makes it one of the best Slovenian incentive hotels. Whilst there are more beautiful, bigger, more seductive hotels, Habakuk is nevertheless one of the better ones, and it is skilfully navigating between the needs of different guests. Let’s hope it will stay this way after Russian ownership of the hotel, whose plans have not yet been disclosed to the public. 13

16. BEST WESTERN PREMIER HOTEL SLON
Ljubljana, Slovenia
4.07
Congress guests are rather spoilt here; the hotel itself is not even that important, more important are the services and the attitude towards the guests. This is something they are well aware of at the ‘Elephant’ Hotel. The long history of the hotel has its own advantages, the service has been tested and is reliable and the guest gets a lot for his/her money. An additional safeguard is membership of the first league of the Best Western hotel chain. Time and again I note that this is a nice hotel that is sometimes overlooked on the Ljubljana hotel scene. In general, the hotel is easily comparable to all the top competitors of its class. 17. AUSTRIA TREND HOTEL LJUBLJANA
Ljubljana, Slovenia
4.03
Its great advantage is the ratio between what it offers and the price. The hotel is a rational choice of businesspeople and those who do not want to stand out and are not looking for locations in the centre of town. The fact that the hotel is tailor-made to the needs of businesspeople is its main advantage and, consequently, the hotel holds a good spot amongst the old and new competitors in Ljubljana.
18. HOTEL CITY PODGORICA
Podgorica, Montengo
3.99
If you are a businessperson, with this hotel you can’t go wrong. It will meet your basic needs and in some areas surprise you pleasantly. The easy and efficient business hotel is also suitable as a hotel for discovering Montenegro. Given the often excessive prices in towns along the Montenegrin coast, this might be a very rational decision. Hotel City is currently one of the most reliable choices in Podgorica for businessmen.
19. HOTEL RAMADA
Podgorica, Montenegro
3.97
A classic business hotel that tries to convince its guests with functional design, timeless hotel elegance and solid hotel rooms. This makes it very useful for business people and is a pleasant refreshment to the hotel scene in Podgorica. The ‘Golden Mean’, which is complemented by favorable prices and which faithfully follows the standards of the Ramada hotel chain.
20. IN HOTEL BELGRADE
Belgrade, Serbia
In terms of design a simple and completely pleasing hotel that impresses with the spaciousness of hotel rooms. Together with their friendly staff this is a reliable business hotel that impresses with reasonable prices and special amenities for business guests. If you are looking for hotel extras, then you will have to find another alternative in Belgrade, but certain- ly this is a solid hotel with excellent value for money.

KONGRESNA ZVEZDA MEETINGS STAR 2013
21. CITY HOTEL
Ljubljana, Slovenia
3.91
In recent years the hotel has undergone a number of updates, but after the last one the hotel entered into a new era, becoming more attractive after refurbishment. The city hotel is tailored to the needs of today’s business guests and embodies the current capabilities of most wallets. Considering it with all of this in mind, we can also accept some compromises in terms of room equipment and service.
22. HOTEL PARK
Novi Sad, Serbia
The hotel leaves mixed and conflicting impressions. For the interior equipment you either like the hotel or you don’t. It appears like a kind of retro where you found yourself in the 1970s. In addition, the Serbian categorisation is clearly different from the European standard – following these meetings standards the hotel would have earned a solid four stars. On the other hand, it has a very wide offer – everything from spa centre to casino and several congress halls. For complex events is now virtually the only choice in the city.

TOP ADRIATIC LUXURY RESORT MEETING HOTELS 2014
L
ast year is hardly behind us before there is yet another opening or renovation of a luxury hotel on the Adriatic coast. In the editorial board of the magazine we have therefore taken it upon ourselves to refresh the list of luxury resorts that also have larger conference facilities.
THE ST. REGIS VENICE SAN CLEMENTE PALACE, Venice, Italy
In addition, the provider must operate as a resort with a comprehensive and complex offer of restaurants, conference facilities, sports and a further additional offer. In addition to Venice, the largest concentration of luxury hotels on the Adriatic is currently in Dubrovnik and Montenegro. There are more and more of the world famous chains, as well as the regional boutique brands. To the first wave of new luxury hotels opened in the years 2007 - 2011 a second wave followed this year. Quite a few novelties are also planned for the year ahead.
