I believe your GCC experience will not only meet your learning expectations, but will also contribute significantly to our shared commitment to lifelong learning. Sincerely,

Welcome How to use this Lifelong Learning Guide This guide is arranged in sections, by category. In many cases classes/workshops that apply to several categories are crosslisted in each relevant section. Each section/category corresponds with a color: Workforce Development courses (pgs. 8-11) include trainings intended to enhance an individual’s on-the-job skills, or provide skills for possible entry into a new profession. Health Care classes and workshops (pgs. 12-14) are intended to meet very industry-specific needs of aspiring and current health care professionals. Many classes fulfill mandatory continuing educational requirements, while others provide pre-licensure or pre-certification preparation for access to the health care field. Personal Enrichment workshops and classes (pgs. 15-18) include classes that people take for enjoyment and selfdevelopment which may fulfill professional needs, as well. Online Learning courses (pgs. 21-22) are delivered via the internet, and may require textbooks and other materials. Online courses are either asynchronous which can be completed any time or synchronous which requires you “attend” scheduled online sessions “live” at a set time. Blended Classes (pg. 23) are offered in collaboration with GCC academic departments and combine non-credit students in the same classroom along with credit students.
