MOHINGA STORY by Ha Tha Mohinga is considered to be Myanmar's National dish. It is basically fish noodles, served with various accompaniments. It is traditionally eaten for breakfast although it can be eaten at any time of the day or night. It is very popular and most urban centers throughout the country have vendors who sell it ready made. I learned this recipe from online sources. Sometimes I eat this dish with my friends and sometimes with my family. I chose this recipe because mohinga is my favorite food from Myanmar. When I see mohinga pictures online, it reminds me of Myanmar. Everywhere you go in Myanmar you will see mohinga. In Myanmar most people eat mohinga and most people are Burmese. You can make mohinga in many ways and include different tastes. If you walk on the street you will smell the mohinga like fish, turmeric, onion and ginger. The people who sell mohinga are usually riding a cart and stopping on the street to sell. You can make the dish salty or hot as peppers. If you order mohinga with fish sauce, it smells like fish and is very salty!
