Quita’s Food Story

Taco salad is from the South West, the recipe is a mixture of two cultures. The taco is from Mexico, and the salad part is from America. My family and I eat taco salad on special holidays or when we have a lot of people coming over to our house. My mother likes cooking it. Every time my mother cooks taco salad, everybody likes it and they always ask for more. I learned how to cook this recipe from my mother because I like standing in the kitchen and watching her cook. I have always thought it was cool to stand in the kitchen and watch my mother and my grandmother cook together. I eat taco salad with my family and sometimes with my friends, when they come over and spend the night. I chose this recipe to represent me, because I love when my mother cooks her taco salad. She cooks the best one. The way it smells when mother has it on the stove cooking… yum!... it smells like beef. The feeling it gives you it’s like you are floating on cloud nine; it will have you dreaming about it at night. When you see it, it’s very pretty and the way it is topped with everything! The taste is very good; it’s so good that it will leave you with an aftertaste of paradise.
