Southern California Southern California is a beautiful place that includes a variety of different neig hborhoods from other cultures.
About OCC & Academics Orang e Coast Colleg e (OCC) is located in Costa Mesa just minutes from Southern California’s beautiful beaches. OCC was founded in 1948, and currently enrolls more than 25,000 students each semester. Featuring exceptional facilities and the latest in computer and hig h-tech equipment, OCC is fully accredited and offers more than 130 academic prog rams leading to Associate of Arts/Science Deg rees, Certificates of Achievement, and transfer to 4-year universities. OCC ranks among top community colleg es in the number of students it transfers to the University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU) systems. Over the past decade, nearly 16,000 OCC students have transferred to UC and CSU campuses, as well as private colleg es and universities across the nation. The Colleg e is in close approximation to well-known shopping venues like South Coast Plaza and Fashion Island; beautiful beaches, such as picturesque Lag una Beach and Newport Beach; outstanding museums such as the Getty and the Los Ang eles Museum of Contemporary Art. Student Service & Student Life International Center
OCC recog nizes that there are many activities and prog rams outside of the classroom which enhance the learning process. Consequently, numerous student services have been established to help students move toward the attainment of their g oals. Student activities and co-curricular prog rams are an integ ral part of OCC. Students are encourag ed to participate in on-campus clubs and org anizations to enhance their colleg e experience. There are more than 50 student clubs and org anizations that are open to all reg istered students. The Student Services Staff and the Associated Students coordinate these prog rams. Below is a list of services and prog rams offered on campus:
Transfer Center Assists students with their transfer plans and provides information and resources on 4-year universities..
Associated Students
Health Center Students who are enrolled and attending classes may seek medical care at the Student Health Center.
Library and Media Services
Contributes to the overall success and involvement of students by providing leadership opportunities, supporting OCC programs, and sponsoring clubs.
Comprised of over 100,000 titles of books, periodicals, videos, and audiocassettes, the Orange Coast College Library supports and enriches the quality of the educational program.
Computing Center
Student Center and Cafeteria
Provides students with computers, printers and digital resources.
Counseling
Assists students identify and clarify personal, career and educational goals.
Produces a high volume of meals for the students on campus.
Student Success Center Students can receive free tutoring for most classes.
Enrollment Center T eaches students how to be responsible individuals who are capable of meeting deadlines and managing their own academic records.
The International Center helps international students with their admission to the colleg e and provides support throug hout their stay. Our dedicated International Center staff are here to assist students so that they have a smooth transition into academic and social life in the U.S. We value international students, appreciated their positive impact on our campus, and are always looking forward to welcoming new international students. In addition to important services such as orientation, immig ration advising , admission, and document processing , the Center offers various activities such as cultural dinners, movie nig hts, cultural loung e, g athering s, amusement part trips, etc. throug hout the year. While OCC does not offer on-campus housing , all students have access to a current apartment listing . In addition, there are homestay ag encies that students can contact directly in order to participate in that prog ram.

Athletics Orang e Coast Colleg e has one of the best Athletic prog rams in the state of California. The Pirates field twelve men’s and ten women’s athletic teams.
