Amanda fell off somewhere along the way, her left tennis shoe never to be found. Needless to say from that point on, Amanda was hooked. Throughout her junior years, Amanda showed western and hunt seat in AQHA and USEF rated

shows. While in college, Amanda rode on the IHSA team at Middle Tennessee State University, being awarded regional champion over fences her senior year. In 2005 Amanda opened Epiphany Farm, LLC in Dahlonega, Georgia. She served as head coach of the University of North Georgia IHSA team from 2005-2016. She is currently a licensed IEA show steward, Executive Secretary of the IEA Board of Directors, and chair of the IEA National Education Committee. As IEA Education chair she oversees several programs designed to further the education of coaches and riders. These program include the IEA Coaches Test (an online multiple choice test mandatory for all IEA coaches and stewards), the IEA Placement Form (a worksheet designed to help IEA coaches place their riders in the most appropriate showing division), and the IEA/USHJA CORE clinic series (a program that provides clinics across the nation for IEA riders with USHJA licensed clinicians). She is also the author of the book ‘A Parent’s Guide to the IEA.’ In the summer of 2016 Amanda resigned her position as head coach of the UNG IHSA team in order to pursue collegiate eventing. Immediately Amanda saw a need for a program at the local level to serve those college students who don’t have the time, skill, or funding to compete in the USEA rated Collegiate Eventing program. Not one to sit around when something needs to be done, Amanda joined the GDCTA and began working with the GDCTA board to create and manage the GDCTA Collegiate Best Score Award program. Amanda asks for your consideration in electing her to the GDCTA board. If elected, Amanda would bring 12 years of IEA/IHSA experience, including 10 years as an IEA steward and three years as an IEA board member, and a passion for working with college students. If you have further questions, you can contact her at 404-245-6688 or amanda@epiphany-farm.com. Susan Collins Susan is an amateur rider who fell in love with dressage several years ago when one of her horses had a hoof injury that ended his jumping career. That horse got to third level before being semiretired to enjoy life as a pleasure horse, and Susan is now bringing a dressage-bred young horse up through the levels. As sponsorship chair for the GDCTA, Susan developed the Presenting Sponsor arrangement with Wilsun Custom Horse Clothing and arranged for the club’s members to enjoy a 15% discount on their wonderful line of custom products and exclusive European equipment. Professionally, Susan has many years of experience as a marketing and product development executive. She now leads the healthcare & life science division of a large global software firm and looks forward to continuing to support the club with some modern marketing and relationship management tools to help keep members informed and engaged.
