“ Ya Gotta know where to Go….The FUN Starts Here….” “see old friends we have made…”

IT’s ROAD TRIP TIME!!

friends that we look forward to meeting in person as we travel around.

We’re getting ready to nail down our Winter Road Tour schedule gearheads.

For me...that's the best part of this deal...you the gearhead friends we have.

The indoor/winter show season is in full swing across the USA and we’re going to be headed to multiple events.

I look forward to hearing about what your driving, building, thoughts about our hobby and more.

We go to cover the events and share the cool stuff we see and experience with you our readers, so you can get a flavor of what’s going on in the gearhead world. We also go, plain and simply because we have fun doing it.

We’ll be telling you where were headed in the upcoming issues. Some of the places we are planning to be at as of now are at the GNRS in Pomona, World of Wheels in Birmingham. The Detroit Autorama in the Motor City and the World of Wheel in Chicago.

That’s the best reason of all.

The other reason we head out of the office, is to see old friends that we have made over the years and hopefully meet some new ones.

If you see me walking around, in the company shirt (Gearhead Gazzette on it...LOL) stop me and say hi...I’ll be glad you did.

Thru the magic of FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM, we have made a good number of new gearhead

The GNRS hands out awards recognizing the best customs, restorations, race cars, trucks, suede vehicles, hot rods, muscle cars, and street machines. The theme for this year's show is "The Magic Happens Here," so attendees can expect to see lots of vehicles and displays decorated in the theme.

Admission for adults is $25 each day; children ages 6-12 are $10 each day; ages five and under are free. Parking is $10 and the entrance to the lot is located at Gate 9 off of White Avenue. This year's show will feature 13 of the country's best pre-’37 hot rods competing for the AMBR award. The winner gets to have their name added onto the 9-foot trophy, along with a $10,000 prize.

Story/Photo’s - Jimmy B

The BIG show with the show at the DETROIT AUTORAMA, is the competition for the “RIDLER AWARD”. There is a lot to see at the Autorama, but the #1 event within the show is the competition for this much sought after award.

Each year, competitors from all over the globe come to Detroit to try and win this coveted award. At the same time, veteran show goers and even first time attendees, check out the GREAT 8, that have been selected to compete for the RIDLER.

Being selected for a GREAT 8 award, is a huge achievement in itself. Some would say, and it’s true to a degree, the seller and buyer would have to be the final judge, but being selected for the GREAT 8 adds some additional level of $$$ to the vehicle.

The Ridler Trophy is awarded to the vehicle that is shown for the first time … anywhere ….period.

Some would say that building a vehicle to this level is crazy. Man hours and huge sums of $$ to do it. That’s one groups opinion. We say build them like you like them! The creativity and craftsmanship gets better and better each year. Make your plans now to attend the 2017 AUTORAMA in Feb 2017! 19
