I have never been to “The Salt”….YET!! It is on the must do list and I will be making time to get my check in the box on this one. Based on talking to many who have gone many times over the years or the ones who go each year, I must be prepared to be “SALT BIT”. They say that once you go, you are hooked an there is no cure for getting the salt out of your blood. Man, woman and machine is what this is about. The last bastion of true racing for the sake of seeing how fast you can go...PERIOD! You build it, race it, maybe break it and do it all over, to see how fast you can go down that long black line. KUDO’s from us to all who are racing this year and may your drive down that black line be straight, fast and safe. Thank you also to all the VOLUNTEERS who work at the event to make it run smooth and safely. FLOOR IT NOW!!

When gearheads and hot rodders hear that word, they know exactly what’s being talked about. If they don’t...well they need to look it up and find out the what is being talked about. Starting this weekend and running through next week out in Wendover Utah, the last REAL RACING, in our opinion, will be taking place at the Bonneville Salt Flats. Racers from around the world, literally, will converge on this hallowed racing surface. The men and women who head to Bonneville each year, or if it’s their first time, are doing it as a love for the hobby, sport and passion only. Remember that there is no cash awards here. There is a trophy for the fastest speed of the meet, but that is the only one. If you run 200mph, 300mph or get into the rare place of 400mph, you get a hat that tells the world you are in one of those very exclusive clubs. 5

We don’t care where, but rather we want to see what you are working on. Chevrolet will bring back its SEMA Design Awards program for this yearâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s SEMA Show, set for Oct. 30-Nov. 2 in Las Vegas.

Those wishing to partake in Chevroletâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s pre-SEMA Show marketing activities must register their vehicle before Sept. 14.
