were over, came back ready to have some hot rod fun. Many hot rodders were drafted into service in the war effort and even used their skills to keep planes, boats, Jeeps and other equipment operational during those years. Many learned new skills that they would use in their civilian lives.

This week, specifically on June 6th, the world and especially America remembers D-Day. 75 years ago on June 6th, the US along with it’s allies, put together an attack force the world had never seen before nor has it seen since either.

These guys started hot rodding as we know it today. Many started companies that are still in business today helping gearheads have fun with their rides.

These men that were part of that invasion, stepped up and did what was asked of them that fateful day. Many of those brave men did not come home...they gave their lives so that we could continue to be a free nation and country.

To them we say thank you for this also. What we enjoy today, was won on the battlefield and then created back here in the USA...because of them

To those men, we salute them, thank them, honor them and will always remember them and their sacrifice and their families sacrifice too.

Thank you to the greatest generation for all this and more…. Live It Fully Everyday

Dodge announces the Octane package for 2019 Charger Hellcat When people talk about the Dodge Hellcats, most of the time it's the two-door Challenger getting all the love and attention. This is, of course, a near-criminal oversight because it's the four-door Charger Hellcat that is the genuinely bonkers member of the family.

Dodge is keen to give people even more of a reason to look at the Charger Hellcat with its new $1,495 Octane appearance package, which it announced on Tuesday. The Octane package is available in either Pitch Black or White Knuckle looks on the exterior, though both are graced with a matte black racing stripe with red accents. The trim and exterior badging are also blacked out. Inside, things get a little more interesting with the availability of SRT Performance seats for the first time in a Charger Hellcat. These come with red accent stitching as well as black and white houndstooth inserts, red seatbelts and gloss black interior trim.

The rest of the package is pure, good old' fashioned Hellcat -- oh, except for the 20-inch forged Cross Brace wheels. Those come from the Scat Pack and feature knurling on the beat area so you can rip sick burnouts and not worry about the tire slipping on the wheel. If this sounds irresistible to you, then you better skedaddle down to your local Dodge dealer soon, because the Octane package is only available through the end of the model year -- not the calendar year. These will start showing up at dealers sometime this fall. 8

Lightweight Mustang Race Column Now Available Gain a weight-saving advantage with IDIDIT’s new Pro-Fab model for fast Fords. Mustang racers can gain a weight-saving advantage with the new Pro-Fab Lightweight Steering Column for 2005-’14 Ford Mustang applications from IDIDIT Performance. Designed for drag, autocross, road course and off-road racing, the columns are direct factory replacements and bolt directly to the factory mounting points and factory steering shaft. “The Pro-Fab column for 2005-’14 Mustangs is super-light and saves weight that has previously been untapped without the use of unattractive race-only options,” said Trever Cornwell of IDIDIT. “It bolts directly in place of the factory column using factory mounts, resulting in an extremely rigid steering shaft. The IDIDIT Performance Pro-Fab column has options that allow a stock appearance, as well as nearly a 20-pound weight reduction.” Proudly made in America, the columns come equipped with an extended shaft that allows the installer to trim to fit and then pair the column with an IDIDIT Performance quick-release steering hub to adapt the column to the race car. Features & benefits include: Direct bolt-in fitment requiring no modifications to the interior. Precision laser-cut tubing and brackets for superior fit and finish. Sealed upper ball bearing and Delrin lower bushing mean the column will operate smoothly after many years of abuse Ultra-lightweight aluminum tubing and brackets. Customizable for driver fit. Available in brushed aluminum finish. Works well with any IDIDIT Performance quick-release steering hub with 3/4-inch smooth center (5-bolt 3/4" Smooth Kit P/N: 5010000015, 6-bolt 3/4" Smooth Kit P/N: 5010000018). Other accessories available include Ignition Clamp (P/N 2650000010) and Trim Clamp Ring (P/N 2650000110).
