“ Ya Gotta know where to Go….The FUN Starts Here….”

Willie and many others just make you feel good

What are you listening to when you are driving? Driving and music just go together. From the first time a car got a radio installed in it, driving with the music playing has been going on. What's on your radio dial when you are cruising down the road? Rock, Country, Blues, Pop, Swing or ?? A lot of people today subscribe to satellite radio so the choices are in the hundreds. You may even listen to talk radio or sports or any of the choices available. Like many of you, the radio is always on in what I am driving. Lately for me its the ROAD TRIP RADIO station on XM/Sirius. Such a good mix and when those special to me songs come on the go pedal seems to get pushed a little harder...bet yours does too!

Then there are those days where I flip on the AM band and listen to WSM in Nashville to hear old school country music. Waylon, Cash, Willie and many others just make you feel good as you roll miles under you. What do you listen to when you are driving your hot rod or classic car or truck? 50’s/6-0’s, 70’s/80’s or ?? Personally for me when I am in the coupe I don’t listen to the radio at all. I really like rolling the windows down, listening to the notes coming off the exhaust pipes. For me there is no sweeter music at that time. If I need the volume up a little...just stepping on the go pedal makes it louder and sweeter. Go ahead and sing along to that song...its ok... Live It Fully Everyday 5

'Lowrider' and Quaker State Team Up to Build Custom 1968 Chevrolet Impala Lowrider and Quaker State have announced plans to build a custom 1968 Chevrolet Impala, with intentions to auction the vehicle to support a charity. Lowrider and Quaker State will work together to resurrect the more than 50-year-old car into a funto-cruise, eye-catching ride. The restored lowrider will be unveiled at the 2019 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Shell “Pioneering Performance” experience on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 12:30 p.m. PST, before being auctioned off for charity in 2020. “Working with Quaker State on this build provides us a great opportunity to give back,” said Joe Ray, Lowrider editor-in-chief. “With a community that is often misrepresented, it is important to us to raise awareness and make our Impala unique in the same way our community members are. Coming from all walks of life, Lowrider and Quaker State know how tight-knit the lowrider community is, and we love to support them every chance we get.” Throughout the next few weeks, the vehicle will go through several customizations, with upgrades such as a new paint job, revitalized interior, new wheels, tires and sound system. “We can’t wait to get to work with Lowrider and create such a special build,” said Jaclyn Chastain, Quaker State marketing manager. “We are honored to have the opportunity to work with Lowrider on this new project. Raising money for charity and raising awareness of the lowrider community together, makes this car build mean so much more to everyone involved. We can’t wait to debut the car on a national stage, providing Lowrider the opportunity to put the spotlight on their unique community.” 8

Fall Carlisle – a collector and classic car automotive flea market, car corral and auction – is the next to last event of the calendar year for Carlisle Events and marks the end of the Carlisle based show and automotive flea market season. The event has been featured on the Fox News program, Fox and Friends and plays host to thousands of collector and classic automotive enthusiasts, all looking for a way to keep themselves busy during the winter months with the hopes of avoiding any type of cabin fever chaos. These guests travel to the 150-acre Carlisle PA Fairgrounds from all points of the globe to buy, sell and celebrate all things automotive, including collector cars and trucks, automobilia and more. This is a fun-filled weekend the entire family will enjoy. While exploring the grounds and 8,100 vending spaces, you will marvel at one of the largest automotive flea markets in the world. the car owner to work out the best price. This is where you can buy, sell and trade with total confidence. This will better focus the spotlight on some of the best consignments that represent certain brands. The Fall Auction runs October 3-4 at the Carlisle Expo Center and features 500+ consignments. As noted, each day will feature specific brands during a select hour. The fall features are TBD.
