“ Ya Gotta know where to Go….The FUN Starts Here….”
“ Did you subscribe or buy an issue ” Goodbye Old Friend...You Will Be Missed...
It would be easy to point a finger and blame someone at TEN for such a decision that no one likes. The Board of Directors has to do what they feel is right to continue to exist, whether we like it or not.
All of us gearheads have lost a trusted friend or friends this past week. We have to say goodbye to our beloved “car guys & gal” magazines, that many of us have read since we were little kids.
We may have to look in the mirror too a little. Did you subscribe or buy an issue off the magazine rack each month? Or did you go to a book store or supermarket magazine aisle and look thru the magazine and then set it back down without buying it. Sales equals survival.
TEN Publishing, (formerly The Enthusiast Network, formerly a few other companies all the way back to PERTERSEN Publishing) announced that they will only publish 3 print magazines going forward. Motor Trend, HOT ROD and 4 Wheeler will continue to be in print.
Whatever the reasons, fact is something a lot of us grew up with is gone in the print form. Nope..don't like it but we will move forward.
I don’t know about you, but I subscribed to more than a couple magazines for a long time. I did so because I enjoyed reading them, but more importantly I enjoyed HOLDING THEM while I read them.
It sounds like there will be ELECTRONIC versions of some of the more popular titles We will have to make the call whether we subscribe to that format.
In this digital age (here to stay) I am sure subscriptions to the hard copies probably fell. Like you, I got the offers in the mail for $1.00 an issue magazines if you subscribe now. That was a clear sign that things were changing.
Keep your cell phone and laptops charged….. Live It Fully Everyday 5

“the fun starts here”….
TEN Publishing closed 19 of its printed car magazines, including cars, mopar muscle and more TEN Publishing, the publisher behind enthusiast magazines like Motor Trend, Hot Rod, Automobile, and a lot more, has announced it is shutting down print operations for 19 of its 22 titles next year. The three remaining titles that will continue to publish in print are Motor Trend, Hot Rod, and Four Wheeler, according to a memo from MotorTrend Group president and General Manager Alex Wellen Here is the full list of the 19 publications ending their print run. • • • • •
4-Wheel & Off-Road—Automobile - Car Craft—Chevy High Performance Classic Trucks—Diesel Power—Hot Rod Deluxe - Jeep—Lowrider Mopar Muscle—Muscle Car Review—Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords Mustang Monthly—Street Rodder—Super Chevy—Super Street—Truck Trend Truckin’ & Vette
The only three titles that remain in printed form are Motor Trend, Hot Rod and Four Wheeler. Statement from TEN: TEN Publishing Co. announced that it will discontinue publishing 19 of its 22 automotive print titles by end of year. MotorTrend Group provides all of the editorial and sales support for those publications. At MotorTrend Group, we remain committed to providing our fans and advertisers quality automotive storytelling and journalism across all of our content platforms and we are doubling-down on our best-in-class digital product experiences, while maintaining our support of the three most popular, profitable and strategic brands across digital and print – MotorTrend, Hot Rod, and Four Wheeler.
It’s unclear if the shuttered titles from TEN Publishing, formerly known as The Enthusiast Network, will continue publishing work online, and it’s also unclear what will happen to their current employees.

Chevrolet Suburban Gets Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame Few cars have had as much screen time as the Chevrolet Suburban, which was recently recognized for its use in the motion picture industry with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. First appearing on screen in 1952, the SUV has made its way into 1,750 films and television shows, including one TV show every year since 1956 and one film every year since 1960. Films featuring the Suburban have also been nominated for awards 30 times. “For six decades the Chevrolet Suburban has been Hollywood’s longest-working actor,” said Rana Ghadban, president and CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. “Appearing in classic feature films and on must-see television shows, the Suburban is a well -established industry mainstay. With the Chevrolet Tahoe also making an impact in movies and on television, it’s impressive to have both vehicles now join an illustrious group of actors and characters that are forever known as Hollywood legends." While the physical star is labeled only for the Suburban—which is approaching its 85th anniversary next year—the Chevy Tahoe, a star in its own right, was also recognized at the unveiling. Together, the Tahoe and Suburban have appeared in more than 2,500 films and

World of Wheels Story & Photography by Jimmy B
In the Southeast USA, after the New Years celebrations have ended and the cobwebs from late night activity have cleared up, gearheads start looking for “car stuff” to do. A lull in the action due to the Christmas and New Years Holidays makes a gearhead hungry for some cool paint, shiny chrome and car show fun! Gearheads in the Southeast area of the USA didn’t have to look far, for winter car fun. The Chattanooga World of Wheels show, had everything they needed under one roof. Three days of cool car fun.
The show was held once again at the Chattanooga Convention Center in the heart of the Chattanooga Tennessee. With the railroads and steel mills influence in Chattanooga, the convention center building has a great look and feel from an industrial perspective. Of course the real cool stuff is inside the convention

center itself...all those cool cars, hot rods, trucks, motorcycles and more! The show is truly a family friendly event. Plenty of things to do for everyone in the whole family. Special guest appearances, activities for the kids, vendors of every kind and a whole lot more. As we like to do here, we let the pictures of the show tell the story, since a picture is worth a thousand words. Make plans now to be at the 2020 Chattanooga World of Wheels show. In January..we are! 25
