The Fun Starts Here
Hot Rodding is always better with hot rod friends...
We can do anything we want or most anything by ourselves. Working on our hot rods and cool rides, going to gearhead type events, car shows or cruise-in’s etc. It’s fun as we are driving our cool vehicles or working on them in our garages.
From my viewpoint, while that’s fun, doing hot rod “stuff: with a friend or friends is a whole lot better.
While we can work on our vehicles, there always comes a point where we need that third hand to get something done on our ride. You know what I am talking about. Do you ask your neighbor, who may be a great person, but truly is not into cars to help or make a call and wait for your hot rod buddy? Yep...you call that hot rod buddy! Not only are they a friend but odds are they know what to do and how to help without any kind of instruction which helps a lot.
The comradery and fellowship in the hot rod community is nothing short than fantastic. We go out of our way to help each other both in good times and bad, car related or not.
For me this all was driven home again recently in running the dragster I now own.
In order to have fun with the car, its takes at least 1 person besides myself to make it work. I am lucky in that there are 5 hot rodders that dig what I am doing with the dragster. I couldn't do it with out the help and friendship of Brian Hope, Keith Dugan, Matthew Dugan, Michel Hope and last but not least, Michael Young. These guys stuck around until late in the night to cackle the dragster. They didn't have to stay, they wanted to because they enjoyed it as much as me.
Go out and hook up with your hot rid buddy's and have a whole lot of gearhead fun… “Drive ’Em Don’t Hide ’Em”
