Dyspraxic Me is a peer group for young dyspraxic adults. We usually meet monthly in London and take part in a wide range of activities that dyspraxic people might find more challenging such as cooking, sports and social skills to develop and try out new skills in a safe environment. Dyspraxic Me started in June 2013 and has been delivering workshops since February 2014. Dyspraxic Me is a volunteer run registered charity 1175961 This zine was created as part of Dyspraxia Awareness Week 4th-10th October 2020.

Concentration with Dyspraxia One area that I find challenging with Dyspraxia is concentration, one minute I can be focused on the task at hand, and the next minute I drift off and think about something else… sorry, don’t know what happened there! For some Dyspraxics, concentration issues can impact the length of the texts they can read. The concentration for tasks such as writing can cause Dyspraxics to tire more quickly… It is not just work where this can be a problem, I can lose concentration when reading, eating, and watching television…
The NHS state that Dyspraxics difficulty
concentrating can cause a poor attention span, or they may find it difficult to focus on one thing for more than a few minutes... The Dyspraxia Foundation lists limited concentration as one of Dyspraxia’s symptoms, with tasks often left unfinished…
