From left, Mayor Doug Davidson, Gina, his wife, Clare and Kayla, his daughters, and Clayton, his son, pose by the entrance of the Kirtland City Hall.
Doug Davidson has been living and breathing the City of Kirtland since the moment he first inhaled. In fact, the Davidson family has been steeped in all things Kirtland for nearly 120 years, when state Route 306 was just a dirt road — a spirit of community that would eventually pave the way for Doug to become mayor. Kirtland High School Key Club students circulated through the spectators, collecting money bets on the potential winners. Bettors for the winning team split the proceeds of their team’s pot with the Key Club. “For the second year in a row, the fire department wins the coveted nowhere-else-can-be-found Strawberry Festival Trivia Trophy,” said Emcee Stan Nerderman. The four team that participated were: • The Kirtland Police Depart-
