Where did the summer go?

As summer winds down, many families are thinking about getting ready for a new school year, and for my family, that includes school supply shopping. The one school supply that is essential and always free is a library card. It can be used any time of the day or night and benefits everyone in the family.

Here are just a few benefits the Geauga County Public Library ca

Academic Support

A fantastic resource for students is HelpNow from Brainfuse. Your Library card gives you access to online tutoring every day from 2 pm to 11 pm. Students can communicate in real-time to solve tricky math problems or get help with writing assignments. Brainfuse also has a writing lab, flashcard creator, and many test prep resources.

At Home Educational Activities

The Geauga County Public Library has many kits to help engage young children and school-age kids in educational games and activities. Check out our Literacy Boxes, Early Reader Backpacks, and STEAM Kit collections. The Kits include themed books, educational games, activities, and items to discover new hobbies or interests.

Study Room Access

Local branches have study rooms that accommodate 2-4 people if students need a quiet place to study or work on a group project.

Geauga County Public Library Staff

Geauga County Public Library is more than just collections, branches, and resources. Our knowledgeable and friendly staff are available to help you find resources and information for all your assignments and interests.
