Your Connection to Reading, Learning, and Growing since 1963 | FALL 2021
Made At GCPL
Question: What do bird houses, memories, recipes, crafts, friendships, and 3D puzzles of GCPL’s mascot Rascal all have in common? They have all been #MadeAtGCPL.
We are thrilled to announce that we are returning to in-person programming, which offers even more #MadeAtGCPL possibilities. From holiday crafts to soap to DIY soda, all of these and more can be #MadeAtGCPL by registering for the many programs listed inside this issue.
Of course, readers are continually #MadeAtGCPL. See pg. 3 for the triumphant return of storytimes! And be sure to see pg. 2 to learn how you can enroll children birth – 5 years old in the Ohio Governor’s Imagination Library, a partner program of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Adult readers, you can continue to make friendships, connections, and conversation at our Book Discussions, which are now all back to in-person at all our Branches. Fear not, lovers of virtual programs, we continue to offer those as a way to connect with your community.
In our last issue, we introduced the Inspiration Station, GCPL’s maker space, which is now open to the public. This space offers a variety of equipment that allows you to you to explore, design, and create. See pgs. 14-15 for details on the equipment, along with available training sessions and workshops. From there, get registered and let your imagination lead you on your own #MadeAtGCPL adventure!
Don’t forget, you can also use our Mobile Memory Labs to digitize all the photographs, home movies, and recordings you and your loved ones have captured over the years. While these memories may not have been #MadeAtGCPL, we know their importance and want to help you preserve them for generations to come. See pg. 10 for more information.
Be sure to share all your #MadeAtGCPL moments with us on social media, too!
