LEAF --- Cours work --- Sumy, Ukrane --- Realization --- 2016 Curators: Sergiy Lebedenko & Alexey Konovalov Art School. M. Lysenko The metaphor for organic growth. Attempt to associate managed processes with unmanaged ones. The structure of the leaf has a skeleton of the spine trunk and branches. This is a certain hierarchy of subordination of small things to the main thing. Most cities, especially historical ones, have a river as a trunk spine. In general, the urban structure of rivers, roads, blocks, parks and squares have similar features to the structure of the leaf. This is obvious, and since it is so, the imprint of the urban organism does not contradict nature.

REUSE THE ROMAN RUIN --- Workshop --- Naples, Italy --- 2020 Сurator: Dmitry Lysy. Politecnico di Milano Students: Pavel Potapnev & Me. Moscow Architectural Instetute Workshop as part of the competition for the renovation of a Roman cistern. Throughout centuries, this unchanging image which inspired visitors from generation to generation passed to us and was reproduced in engravings and plans. It is also reflected in the name attached to this building - Mirabilis meaning “wonderful”.

Pishina Mirabilis
(13)
By solely its existence, Piscina Mirabilis marks the historical stage of the grand transformation of the landscape of Campania during the antic period and forms the identity of the region in the present days. In the midst of tufa, on a dominant hill, a treasure is hidden.
(14)
Pishina Mirabilis
The monumental rhythm of ancient construction, penetrated by the rays of light passing through the apertures in the vaulted ceiling, creates a unique interior space and atmosphere of this client Roman cistern. In our project, we unhide the intrinsic value of Piscina Mirabilis, through the imposition of a new layer of interpretation. The integration of both museum’s programs with the exhibition value of the ancient structure image forms a synergy that shapes the look of a museum of the new type.
The task was to create a museum of modern art that would combine both a social and cultural role and will not break the immanent image of Piscina Mirabilis. Placed on the roof of the object, a platform serves as a public square, that hosts all the servant functions of museum in the gal lery on its top, leaving the entire volume of cistern to accommo date future exhibitions . The square is expressed as the topography of the cistern plan. Its continuity is disrupted only by the apertures forming the dynamic unity of the interior and exterior.

Pishina Mirabilis
(17)
The Platform translates the structural-spatial principle and repro duces greed based movement of Piscina Mirabilis through the sign system of patterns and tactile experience.
(18)
The new layer is an organic addition that reinterprets the heritage, marking the evolutionary stage in the development of the monument.

The end of the Late 17th. The formation of the perimeter, a clear typology of a closed block, which was laid down in the 15th century.
