The blazer (Years 7 to 12) is to be worn to and from school every day, unless notice is given that it may be removed because the heat is excessive. The blazer is to be worn to Assembly, all formal occasions and on excursions where uniform is required. The blazer should have three buttons in place at all times. A designated school scarf or a navy scarf may also be worn. T-shirts worn under shirts or blouses must be white, without a visible logo and should not be evident under the shirt. Hair is to be neat, one natural colour and not extreme in style. College backpack must be used as the school bag.
Students’ appearance in uniform is expected to be relatively conservative as determined by the Principal and Head of School.

BOYS • • • • • • • • •
Trousers/shorts are not to be “baggy” and are to be worn on the waist. Belt is to be dark brown or black and is mandatory. Shirts are to be tucked in except during physical activities at lunchtime and recess. Ties must be worn at all times. Mid-calf College socks are to be worn in summer. Grey or black socks are only to be worn in winter. Shoes are to be polished black leather school shoes with no obvious logo. Hair is to be neat and of a reasonable style and length (above collar), and one natural colour. It should not be excessively gelled or waxed. No visible jewellery, including body piercing, is permitted. The face is to be clean shaven.
GIRLS • When a blazer is worn, the collar of the dress/summer shirt/winter blouse should be worn outside the blazer. • In winter, kilts are to be worn at the waist and buckled (length should be mid-calf) or grey slacks (girls’ design) may be worn with the bottle green V-neck jumper with College logo, winter blouse, blazer and shoes. • Winter blouse is to be tucked in and collar turned down. Only the top button may be unfastened. • Navy tights or navy knee-length socks in winter. • Summer dress shall be no shorter than the top of the knee. Alternatively, girls may choose to wear blue shorts and the summer shirt. • White uniform socks with College colour band are to be worn in summer. • Shoes or T-bar sandals are to be black polished leather with no obvious logo. • Hair is to be one natural colour and if below the shoulders, must be tied back, rather than pulled or clipped back off the face. It must not be excessively gelled or waxed. Ribbons and hair bands can be white, navy, College green or Gordon tartan. • No visible jewellery may be worn other than studs or small plain earrings – only one in each lobe. No other body piercings are permitted. • Light make-up is allowed in the Senior School. • Nail polish is not permitted.
CASUAL CLOTHES DAY When students are permitted to wear casual clothes to school, they are reminded that the standard of dress is neat casual. Covered footwear MUST be worn to all classes. Singlets are not permitted. Correct sports uniform is required for all Physical Education classes.

SECONDARY SCHOOL Years 7 to 12 • College blazer. • Navy walk shorts with belt loops. • Black or dark brown belt. • White shirt with bottle green College tie or Year 12 tie. PHYSICAL EDUCATION SPORTS UNIFORM For all Physical Education classes, Sport Education classes, training and matches during Terms 1 and 4, students must wear the appropriate hat/cap. MIDDLE SCHOOL (YEARS 4 TO 8) Girls • One-piece bathers (any colour) and swimming cap for Physical Education swimming classes. Rash vest (optional for sun protection outdoors). • Bottle green College sports shorts. • White sports socks. • College sports polo top. • House polo top. • Appropriate sports shoes (skate or volley style shoes are not permitted). • College rugby jumper (optional). • College tracksuit pants (Years 4 – 6 fleece, Years 7 – 8 micro fibre). • College spray jacket. • Bottle green College hat – compulsory Terms 1 and 4. • College sport cap (optional). • College fleecy vest (optional). • Appropriate sport-specific footwear and safety equipment for Years 4, 5 and 6, and APS Sport training and matches (Parents will be informed as required). Boys • Speedo-type bathers or jammers (any colour) and swimming cap for Physical Education swimming classes. wear mouthguards and shin pads/guards for training and during matches. Goalkeepers must wear full protective equipment - helmet, mask, chest plate, pads, kickers, gloves. All defensive players must wear a mask when starting inside the D/Circle during a penalty corner. Netball (Girls) Netball dress with shorts, appropriate footwear. The wearing of mouthguards is strongly recommended during games. Rowing (Boys and Girls) College rowing suit, College sports cap, longsleeved or short-sleeved UV top (for training/ warm up), long-sleeved compression top. APS sports uniform to be worn to all regattas. Soccer (Boys and Girls) College soccer shirt, navy College soccer shorts, College football socks, appropriate footwear. Players must wear shin pads/guards for training and during matches. The wearing of mouthguards is strongly recommended during games. UNIFORM SHOP The Geelong College Uniform Shop is the only authorised supplier of the College uniform. A range of secondhand uniforms are also available. The Uniform Shop is located at the Senior School campus at 150 Noble Street, adjacent to Davey House.
